Re: rear drum to disc brake conversion DIY?

There is a company called Scarebird that makes a bracket to do the disc conversion without swapping the control arms

then I went with rear brake components off of a 99-00 Si

need:
scarebird bracket
calipers
caliper bracket
pads
rotors
brakes hoses
e brake cables
proportioning block ( not completely needed, brakes will still favor the front though)
new spindle nuts

You could also go with brake setup off an integra or other 6th gen civic with disc brakes

Do it properly and take your time, if bolts break buy oem bolts from honda not some hardware store. I see too many people locally doing this swap and having break failure while driving.

Rear disk FTW!

control arms...? I think you mean trailing arms? Also, without replacing the proportioning valve, the brakes will actually favor the rear because more pressure is required to squeeze the drums than the calipers. More rear brake bias can be very dangerous, and it's best if you get a 40/40 prop valve.
