Wheel Bearing DIY? 2002 EX

Can anyone point me to a front wheel bearing DIY (with pics)? I did a search and found a couple different threads but not too clear however.

Can I get a new hub with bearings pressed in already? Guess that would be easier.

Buy the entire hub and press that into the knuckle. Eric the car guy has a great DIY video on this. http://www.ericthecarguy.com/videos/?tubepress_page=4

The video is called "replacing an accord wheel bearing" you can find it on youtube too.

Thanks. I seen one of his other videos but didnt check to see if he did wheel bearings.

Im guessing Accord R&R is the same as Civic R&R.

Pretty much, it will get you through the job. I watched the video before I did one of my wheel bearings (01 ex) and it was almost an identical job. You will need a press or access to one to get that hub out. Or you can try to smack it out with something like Eric uses but I have a press so... Good luck!

Re: Wheel Bearing DIY? 2002 EX

Let me just revive this thread and just share my experience with wheel bearing. Several DIY's I found indicated using OEM Honda wheel bearing. Of course I decided to cheap out on it and bought a $46 bearing from Pepboys. Its making noise on slight turns now after about a month. Right now I might just look for a used knuckle to put in.

Re: Wheel Bearing DIY? 2002 EX

i wasted time and $ by mistakenly buying a hub online..i thought that the bearing was already pressed into the hub from the factory..it was not....the FRONT wheel bearing is sols separately from the hub (at least on a 2001 LX)

If you don't have a press just remove the knuckle and take it to a shop, simple.

Re: Wheel Bearing DIY? 2002 EX

They are called "ATE" sold by Canadian Tire obviously in Canada... They work awesome.. grip much better than OEM. I'm just kinda trying them out because I got a great price on them:
