Does any know how the rear-view mirror detaches from the windshield?

Look where the support arm coming off the top of the mirror is attached to the roof. There should be a little cover there that you pry off that exposes a couple bolts/screws that are holding the mirror up.

Attached are instructions to remove the rear view mirror from a 2006 model. As this is also an 8th Gen Civic, I assume the information applies to the 09 as well.
