"Air filter - inspect"
huh...
I would personally say you should be replacing it, not just inspecting it. and much more often than every 100,000 miles. It would be very dirty by then...
Having a clean air filter helps your gas mileage too.

i'm not worried about the cost as i plan to do it all myself. i'm just wondering what the Honda Manual says.

lmao, i will search for their maint stuff. i think the only thing that actually counts is the timing belt change. everything else is as you need it. so if you already changed your fluids earlier, no need to do it again.

Well half the stuff on our cars is so easy to do. The auto tranny, coolant, and plugs. As for the belts I had the mom and pop shop I go to do it and it was like $330 total. That was timing, and accessories belts.

plugs
timing belt
PS belt if you have it
maybe a water pump
Fluids (if you haven't done it)
Adjust valves (if you haven't done it)
That's about it. This is just off the top of my head though.

change lower arm bushings if you have chance....mine made sound when going over rough surface...it's at 108K now...do civic's need valve adjustment? I thought it didn't....correct me if i am wrong
BTW April is Honda care day, so you can get 40 point inspection free...so get your car checked and don't do anything they say....

feeler gauge, removing the valve cover, a new cover gasket, and the service book for the tolerances.

I can see it now
"I'm here for my 40 point inspection"
"Sir, we don't know what to inspect, nothing on your car is where it should be"

should be in haynes i think, its engine related. get tokico shocks for sure, oem is a joke. even for stock spring it will be good. get the ES control arm bushings so they can do em while the susp is taken off.

go with tokico shocks.....that's what I have on mine with stock springs...it rides much better with 17 inch wheels...
bushings can be either stock or ES bushings ....IMO I like the softness of OEM and I don't do any autoX so I got OEM bushings....

100,000 miles? Honda would like if you replaced your spark plugs with nails. Then promptly purchase a new car.
All seriousness though, do the tune up the guys were recommending above. Replace those coolant and heater hoses if you haven't already. My car has 82k and those hoses are in bad shape. I need to replace them pronto.

Are the hoses original? I have a hard time believing they are fine. Especially after seeing mine. Don't just look give them a squeeze, look for cracks, mushy spots, etc.
Here is what mine looks like:

Man I just did my timing belt, power steering belt, alternator belt, water pump, head gasket, replaced the head studs, plugs, coolant. took 3 days for all of this and about 500 bucks later she is running better than ever. I do recommend after 100k U do all of this.

yep. mine are the original from 2002. mine don't look anything like that. of course, i clean and maintain my engine compartment twice a year at least. i checked mine by squeezing and didn't see any cracks or mushy spots.

the timing belt is every 110K normally. the accessory belts are whenever they look bad or start to squeak, could be every 50k, sometimes longer. if they look fine, dont bother. timing belt i would do every 100k roughly, for peace of mind since you cant really see the belt under the hood. also change the water pump and belt tensioner (and crank pulley if you have extra money) when you have the belt changed. they are all very easy to do since you have everything pulled apart anyway. better safe than sorry later if they break.
