yeah i always get mine off ebay its the UNI brand for oiled foam filters like weapon-r. very good quality and usually you can get the kit for around $15-20 with cleaner and oil.
Hey man! Do you have a good place to buy the cleaner and oil kit for the Weapon R filters? I searched on google, but I can't tell if these places are legit or not. . lol
yeah the trans fluid needs to be fully warmed up for the fluid to read correctly. its better to read with the car running, honda says turn it off prolly for safety reasons cause on some cars the dipstick is near moving parts and dangerous to check. i always check mine with car running. just be sure you drive it enough to warm everything to normal temp (trans takes longer than engine to warm up). if you turn the car off, fluid starts immediately draining so i think you will only get 10 seconds or so to check the level before it reads wrong (too low).
quick question just did the drain and fill on my 04 automatic does the car have to be running to get the proper level for the dip stick because my honda manual says to shut the car off and then check the level.
no, the shapes are totally different and you would not be able to fit them. the 01-03 fogs have a black trim piece you have to use, 04-05 does not because they are made to fit the bumper.
Gear Box, ive looked for your guidance for every big project i do....
So here we go again,
I have a 2001 Honda civic LX ..
i want to do a Fog light installation.. BUT.. i want the 2004 honda civic foglights as to me they are much better looking.. IS THIS possible ? if soo how would i go about cutting the bumper...
your input would be appreciated. XD
Cheers
it sounds like either the input shaft or throwout bearings but i am not really good with manuals to say for sure. mines auto. but if the gears are working and shifts are smooth, the trans is prolly fine.
Ok, so I have a 2004 Honda Civic LX with a manual transmission. All gears work perfectly fine.(Nice smooth in shifting) However, in all gears....(I'm not sure on reverse) I get a sound from what I believe is the bearings. Sounds almost like a "Grr" when accelerating. When the clutch is in when switching gears the sound disappoears until in the next gear.
If it is in fact the bearings, should I have the bearings replaced or do I have a complete M/T issue?
Kinda sucks because I just bought the car 2 weeks ago....( NO NOISE THEN OF COARSE )
no problem, im here to help. weapon-r.com actually offers custom intake making services altho i imagine it would be expensive. may want to ask and see.
Gearbox,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help. I got my seat in the other day. It works great but as always, one hole out of four didn't line up. This would have been an easy fix if I had done the seat swap at my place instead of the parking lot of the Police Station. You would be surprised on how much leverage it takes to bend an expandable baton to make the seat bracket fit. I am going for economy over flash with this 89 Civic DX HB 1.5 L, 5spd. I have spent several hours studding this forum, which you appear to be "The Man". I will have several more postings for you, hahaha before I get this thing done. My newest project is a cold air intake but I'm having problems finding one for a 1.5 L. I found several short ram air intakes but nothing that will put the collector outside the engine compartment, but I will keep at it.
Thanks Again,
Officer Ben Roberts
