hey guys, i just bought a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid. i would like to know whether its normal on CVTs to roll backward on slight inclines. it feels like its in neutral until i give a little gas. in other words if you are driving behind my you will assume im driving a stick-shift. i just changed ATF and i found some metal shavings in the drain plug. other than that car drives excellent. thank you.

wassup guys, looking into installing some ebay foglights + switch. would anyone know how to wire em in so that they can only be turned on and off by the switch? i dont want them to come on with parking lights or headlights when they are turned on. but only by switch so that it would be optional for me when i want em on or off with or without parking/head lights. any help with wiring is appreciated.

noise from tranny

Hey everyone, newbie here...

I've got a 99 Civic Si and I'm getting some noise from what I assume is the clutch. With the clutch peddle out, I'm hearing a rubbing sound - kinda like the sound when a brake is dragging. When I push the clutch in, the sound goes away, sometimes instantly, other times it slows to a stop over the course of a second or so.

Also, and I'm not sure if this is related, but the tranny pops out of 5th a lot. Goes right back into gear no problem, but won't stay there for long before it pops out again. Thought this might be a setup issue with the short throw shifter in the car until I clued in on that clutch noise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first time that i'm installing an engine and I almost have all of the brackets to put a B16 into my 2000 SI.
with hopes that u can shed some light on my issue.. i have a 2002 civic si hatch ep3 k20a3 with a bad ecu i keep getting obd2 code p1106 which stands for barmetric pressure circuit range / performance. i was told that the BAROMETRIC sensor was located inside my ecu (ecu # 37820-pnf-ao3) its a obd2Aecu. regarding this code is this true? cus ive replaced the MAF/MAP sensor and ive replaced the IAC valve and the throttle body gasket and cleaned all filters and sensors everything is fine.. but the ecu keeps poppn a code of p1106 ive even reset the computer and erased all codes driven it and still it comes back. i mean the car runs fine and it idles perfect (1500rpms at idle) but i want to know what my next steps i can do . can i reflash my ecu with a bad baro code? is it trash now? and i just recently learned that i can get a ECU from the honda dealership but they will charge me extra 90 bucks to flash it and then they want to have me sign a waiver stating if it messes up they arent responsible which is ok because we would be doing it out of the dealership but id be using the dealership to order a stock ecu... and my last question is will i pass inspection with a bad baro code (p1106) and CEL on? does it affect my I/M monitors .... all these questions are racking my brain and well no one has any answers but ive spent endless nights on the net trying to figure out whats my options.. can u help and i will also post this in the Tech portion of the Forum.. thanks.
