Official 2007 F1 Thread

Another F1 season is right around the corner! I'm not sure how many ppl are still here from the f1 fanclub thread, but I think the 07 season will be an exciting season.

Several teams have launched their new car. You can see themHERE (click on "Launches" at bottom right). Honda has launched their car in all black (new colors next month):

Drivers can be found HERE.
Most notably, Alonso switched to McLaren with rookie Hamilton; Raikkonen switched to Ferrari (after Schum. retired).

So what are you thoughts? Will Honda step up and start challanging Renault and Ferrari? Or will they stay just slightly behind them?

I really want Kimi to win a drivers championship this year and I'm really wondering how Renault is going to do without Alonso. On the topic of Honda, I'm not getting my hopes up but I think they can win again.

yeah, honda seems always to be almost competing with the top 3. they are always not quite there.

Kimi should do well. he always had bad luck at mclaren.

Been a good season. No total domination to speak of. Sucks about Indianapolis though. I attended every race. Hoping they come back.

It has been a great season, apart from the spygate stuff.

I can't get over the fact that they are dropping Indianapolis, what a waste!

Any chance they'll have that street race in LV?

Re: Official 2007 F1 Thread

unless lewis has some really bad luck in the next 2 races, it looks like we'll see a rookie win the drivers championship for the first time. incredible!

Re: Official 2007 F1 Thread

so what are the predictions for the last race in Brazil?

7 points separate Lewis, Fernando, and Kimi.

The only chance Kimi has to win the championship is if he wins, Lewis finishes out of the points (8th place will tie), and Fernando needs to finish 3rd or worse.

Fernando needs to finish 5 points ahead of Lewis and 3 points ahead of Kimi.

Lewis needs to finish 4 points ahead of Fernando to clinch the title. actually, if Lewis finishes 3rd or higher, it doesnt matter where anyone finishes.

Without some unforeseen dnf, Lewis will probably be the first rookie to ever win the title. Should be an exciting race. Felipe won it last year.

I think Hamilton will win it.
He should have finished in the top three in the last race but he made an error coming into the pits.
