**Official** Formula 1 Fanclub @ 7thgencivic

This is an idea that I've been mulling over for the past couple days. I've seen some interest on this site about F1, and figured I'd see how many other people were really into F1. Should probably also make a separate thread so we can discuss F1 and not have to whore up a thread where people are trying to join (IF anybody joins, that is) Anyways, Post up if you're in To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Over all an open wheel fan here. F1 / IRL / CC

Looking foward to my Michelin supplied FREE seat at Indy this year.

Glad that they brought back tire changing. A Formula 1 pit stop is a thing of beauty.

I hate Alonso!! When will someone BEAT HIM besides Shooomaq *spit* er!?? WTF happened to Kimi?? Why do all the races have to be at 5am on SUnday?? Why doesn't it get great press coverage like the NHL, NFl, etc????? Man! I love F1, been watching it since the rookie days of Schumacher, Nigel Mansell and then Mika. What a sport.

I love Alonso, it was about damn time that Schumacher lost a championship in the last 7 years. I'm sorry, but the 2003 season was the closest thing to an actual race for the title (Before 2005), and the only one Schumacher didn't have wrapped up by Suzuka. I have respect for Schumacher, but there for a while it was boring because you were 95% sure that Schumacher would win.

I love Alonso, and all the other drivers, because they all have a tremendous amount of skill. I love F1 because it IS the pinnicle of motorsport. It IS that great! I enjoy all of F1, although I am glad about Ide..

The races are at 5am just because of the time difference in the countries the races are held i.e. Germany, Spain, etc. IMHO F1 doesn't get as much coverage here in the states because 1)we have nascar and 2)until this year there weren't any american drivers (there might have been some a long time ago but I can't think of any. Hawk would know but I haven't seen him post in awhile).

F1 doesn't get recognition here because there are no true racing fans. I love all kinds of racing, even sometimes drag racing. Most guys are rednecks and like NASCAR cause their family did and thats it. Not many people in the US like REAL racing, like F1, IRL, CC, ALMS, etc.
NASCAR is a very american racing, but its not nearly as interesting to watch as some other racing events. I would still drive in NASCAR, but there are better ones to watch.

It will certainly piss the Nascar crowd once Toyota shows up and starts kicking ass.

I hope they take over the series, It will be funny.

They already did in NASCAR truck racing.
The only reason they don't want Toyota to enter is because they know the sport will actually have to move forward! OMFG not progress!

Anyone keeping track of the Monaco GP? I just read that Schumi was stripped of his pole due to his little "accident" that kept Alonso and others from completing their flying lap at the end of the session. Now he'll be starting from the back of the grid and Alonso's on pole now. I can't help but feel bad...if it truly was an accident. I didn't get a chance to watch qualifying so I'll have to judge for myself.

That is really stupid. I feel a more appropriate punishment would be to take 10 positions away from him, not send him to the back. I am very upset about the ruling, as you may have guessed.

Don't forget to watch tomorrow at 12:30PM EST on CBS!!

I'm not a fan, i'm a driver. I've been racing F1 down in Bahrain for BMW F-1 since Feb. The races are expensive as he11 (A little over $1,000 a race). All I have to say is watching the races on TV is one thing, actually driving on the courses are another, It's one he11 of a rush!!! You think 7thgen could sponsor me?

7thgen would never sponsor an F1 team. Are you crazy?!
BMW won't like the word civic on their cars anyway.
