I am probly the only Redskins fan on this web site so dont be to harsh on me. i heard today that the skins got clinton portis! how great is that. they traded champ bailey for him. clinton is the man!! comes from my favorite college football team MIAMI! i heard that they were also goin for taylor to. w/ the return of the great gibbs, im thinkin the Skins will be tough this coming season. anyone agree w/ me??

i will repeat what i read in an espn article. 4 of the last 5 years the redskins have won the offseason championship by picking up the best free agents.
plus brunell isn't the player he once was, u still have no defense. u will probably redo most of ur defense, but will it matter. what happens if portis gets injured, its possible he will be running ALOT.
Portis is a decent back but is more a "product of the system back" and is not as good as people think. Yes he has the breakaway speed but those holes won't be there in the skins o-line like they were in Denver.
Bailey is a shut-down perrenial probowler who will be the best for years and years. Plus they got a second rounder out of it. No doubt the Broncos got the better of the deal.
Super bowl bound? They'll be lucky to win the division let alone a playoff spot.
ive watched portis since he was playin for miami, he was great then, ive watched him when he was playin for the broncos, he is still great, yea i dont think they will make it a very successfull first season but in 2 years, im sure theyll have everything down
They said the same thing after their spending spree last year and after they aquired Bruce Smith and Deion Sanders in 99 (I think it was 99). Look at the Pats, it's all about team chemistry and coaching.
but if you were a skins fan, you would be excited about whats happening and hope that it works out but like i said, im probly the only one on this site
portis is one of my favorite backs and i am looking forward to seeing the skins play with him and arrington. they're both bada$$, i just wish champ would have stayed while they still got portis.
portis will have problems running as a redskin. yes he is a great young player but denvers system never fails. i dont think portis will benefit much from the redskins offensive line. although the skins do have a new/old system and that might change everything. if brunell stays healthy and has a decent season. the skins should be in the playoffs. im keeping my eye on them

i dont think they will be a powerhouse or anything, its more like a rebuilding year, kinda like how dallas was last year. i know dallas didn't do all that well, but they did much better than past seasons. i'm proud of my cowboys, and i'm interested on how the redskins will do with gibbs back. it will definately be an interesting season.

you know something...i dont mind the football team, but the fans are annoying...don't take this wrong, but you get into the game toooooo much. i had eagles fans come up to me and was like we beat the cowboys...your team sucks...then they go on with the big rivalary that the cowboys and eagles have...then i would say...didn't we beat you the first time we played you in the season, and i know that the cowboys and eagles have a big rivalary, but isn't it bigger with the redskins since its cowboys and indians??? then they would shut up and leave and annoy another cowboy fan...
so i hope no one will be offended, just an experience i have and why i dont like eagles fans anymore i dunno even know why i'm postin this...
