The Boston Celtics drafted Marcus Banks with the 13th pick in the 2003 NBA draft.
Its sooo weird because i have played with him since i was 12. From YMCA to AAU ball.
I knew that he would end up going pro overseas or something, but never would have thought he would make it to the NBA! This kids resume is absolutly amazing......
It all started in 1999, we won the Nevada State Championship(high school). From their Colleges were all over him, but the thing was..his grades were alllways bad. No division 1 colleges would take him because of that. So se ended up going to Dixie community college, in St george Ut.
There he did really well aveages 24 points and earned JUCO all american, 2 years in a row.
Then he went to UNLV where he was named MWC defensive player of the year, while averaging 20 points per game, 2 years in a row!
The kids got MAD game. But throughout our whole life the kid always had 1 problem.
SHOOTING. He cant shoot to save his life!! Horrible at freethrows to!
He has everything that a point guard need to be succesful.
he big.. 6'2 210
amazing speed..
can drive to the hole and put it in
can break your ankles on a crossover
but he cant shoot. I hope he has Great success in the NBA, but i find my self wondering if he can survive in the NBA without a having a shot.
All you Boston fans...look for a quick quard with good defensive skills, however dont count on him to make any big shots from deep!
It was so crazy seeing a kid you have been playing ball withyour whole life in the same lineup as Antoine Walker and Paul Peirce!!!!

eh, kinda like me, one of my friends (Willaim aka "Smush" Parker) from h.s. is now playing for the altanta hawks. Hes been bouncing around for a while, but its kinda weird seeing him play on T.V. when i used to chill with him in class and watching him playing in games in the school gym. Its good to finally see some one i know, whose "made it" from around the neighborhood ya know.
I know someone in the NBA too...his name is Richard Jefferson...maybe you've heard of him. I got to know him my senior year before he was a McDonalds All-American.
