Angry police follow me?!

well this has actually happened a few times. i will be driving through the small town i live in in mi, and police will randomly start following me!! i started noticing this a few weeks ago. i make a few turns through residential areas and he's still right behind me. i dunno if he's hoping i will just take off randomly and make him chase me or what. this week they even followed me home and gave me a long hard stare as i got out of my car. sure i don't have a stellar record, but i haven't been pulled over in a real real long time. not just that, but every time i see one behind me at a stoplight, or stop sign, i see him typing in his computer to get his information on me, checking if i stole my car or something.....i think the cops from this town should stop harassing a 17 year old kid in a modified civic and do some real police work..

how do i get these a**holes off my back

Cops around here like to harass the young drivers too. I got pulled over the guy said I was "speeding" even though I know I was going the speed limit. He just thought that I was breaking a NJ law that for the first year you can only have 1 non household member in the car. He saw 2 others in the car with me although they were both from my house.

He then gave me a speech and said "If I ever have the pleasure of pulling you over again, you get off so easy." A$$holes. Guy gave me a "warning" for speeding even though I wasn't.

Well the next time that you get pulled over and you know you were not speeding and you know that he is full of shit ask him to see the radar gun if he cannot prove that he showed the gun to you and that you agreed to the following charge he doesn't have a damn thing on you. Just ask to see the gun.

uh in some states they don't have to show you the gun when they pull you over. just in court. and that may just piss them off more.

the thing about asking to see the speed on the radar gun isnt true though. yes they do need to be calibrated but no they legally by *OHIO* law do not have to show you the radar gun. i dont know about anywhere else though. normally they keep the equipment up to date too. there is other ways of getting your soeed other than radar so even if they would legally have to show you radar that doesnt always work
taken from another forum here

i don't know if that person is knowledgable, but i had heard this before and this merely corroborates my story. i also have no idea how many states this is the case in. just saying, in OH, if you ask to see the gun chances are you'll piss them off when you argue about how it's your right.

If a police officer is following you and checking to see if your car is stolen, he's looking out for your property.

Instead of thinking that he's an a-hole. consider what he wud be willing to sacrafice in the event ur car was in fact stolen and he had to purse and arrest.

We wear body armour and carry fire arms to protect you and your property. We aint all that bad.

In order to calibrate our radar guns we have a tuning fork. I can calibrate the gun before I radar everyone if I wanted and there is no paper showing that the gun will be accurate

Even if your not doing anything illegal... I'm still always paranoid b/c if you have an exhaust (theres a possibly ticket there...
have blue led lights for my liscence (could get a ticket?)
liscence plate cover (for photo..) ticket?
white/blue signal lights (ticket?
There R so many things you can get tickets on for stuff on your car but won't always.. its kind of stupid cause its like its illegal sometimes depending on the cops.

Best thing to do when they're tailing you is to drive a little below the speed limit and i always switch lanes for them to go
