Window Tint and colors

i have few questions about window tinting and styles of them:

1) i live in california, norcal. what is the tint limit on all the windows?

2) how many kinds of tint are their? i seen mirror, regular black, and other colors such as blue, red, etc.

3) who here has gotten tickets and/or fix-it tickets for window tint?

what im trying to do is tint all 5 windows of my 7th civic. i was thinkin the mirror tint but the professional guy at the shop said you will be very noticable to the cops and give you fines for it. (even multiple fines).should i take the risk of gettin mirror tint on my civic? if not, how bout gettin the regular black tint on all 5 windows still?

-thanks

hmm.. is the 99' year still effective as of today? cuz i went to the tint auto shop and the owner says its illegal to tint the front 2 windows... he said he tinted his 2 front windows still but very light (30%).

I will let injen answer this, but, I would assume that your tint shop would know the very current laws on it. Have you tried searching on your own online about examples of autos with tint? injen or someone else may know this one?

the current front side windows in cali is 70%, and the rear quarters and rear can be up to 5% (i dont remember the back and rear quarters), and if you want a glare strip on the windshield, its a 4" maximum
