Insurance Questions

I'm currently in a little bit of a fight with my insurance company (The
Personal). Last week my car was hit by a drunk driver while it was parked. I
am insisting they use nothing but Genuine Honda replacement parts, but they
say that they don't have to. In my contract it states that unless the parts
are obsolete they must be replaced by parts "of like kind or quality". I
have told them that the genuine Honda parts are all guaranteed by Honda to
be the same quality as the original parts on my car.

Anyone ever fight the insurance companies about this?
And win?

Tell them you are going to claim diminished value if they don't use all genuine Honda parts. There is still diminished value because it's been hit however I would expect it to be diminished more without genuine Honda parts. They may agree to keep you from claiming diminished value.
