best way to test lights..
put a white blank piece of paper in front of the lights when its on.. in your case, the headlights.
if its not amber (yellowish colour) or white.. its illegal
some light bulbs are blue.. but when its on, its actually white.
i guess you can say thers's a distinct blue'ish colour when its turned on.. but its mostly white.. so its alright.
Having said that I never got pulled over for it when I had my cleared OEM's in there. I actually had a few coppers tell me they liked it better that way then with the amber in it...lol.
What they really want is something resembling white, or as close to it as possible. As long as your turning indicator blinks they won't mess with you there either.
What's written in the rules is largely up to the discretion of the officer.
I would transfer this to Law/Legal and see what InjenCivic or Narc have to say as they're both policemen....then you can get it from the horses mouth so to speak...lol.
Im 5 o in Ontario and each province has its own Highway Traffic Act, so unfortunately Im not sure what the law there is. I can tell you that it is illigal here. White or amber lights visible from front of vehicle permitted only. That includes any colour lights within the headlight housing and those fancy windshield fluid nozzles.

Narc: Thanks for the quick reply!
"fancy windshield fluid nozzles"...lol...Gawd I hate those things...
but seriously, how enforced is this law really? I mean your 5 0 and you're asking for yours to be cleared in your sig...lol.
I've been told it's not really enforced as long as they're not some weird color and the signals actually blink.
Ahhh but see, im asking to get the headlights cleared, bit im not changing the bulb light.
I dont give out tickets to mod cars. Sure i'll stop em and say that the illigal lights muffler, whatever was the reason for stopping them, but between you and I, I just want a closer look at their ride.
There, I admit it, I abuse my powrers! Ha ha ha. Diemos would have a feild day with this!!
Oh and as for fancy windshield fluid nozzles....cheese.

NARC, that's hillarious...I only THOUGHT that could happen...ROFL!
I'm gonna say yes because it's not the corner of the blinker. I can't beleive you found a bulb that actually comes out of that hole blue. Every one I ever tried came out yellow...lol.
Well I disagree with my brother Pharoh. Cant have any light other than white or amber visible from front of car. Thats Ontario law mind you, may be diff in your Province.
But I for one think it looks great. Mite do same thing. Polly wont, I still havnt even cleared my headlights yet (see below!).

NARC: I told you already if you came to Ottawa we would hook you up with a good 'ol fasion headlight clearing party...lol.
Ok...we've concluded what's really legal and what isn't but who's really gonna stop him for a slightly blue little light like that?
