Exclamation Got Pulled Over, Guess For What?

Hey everyone, this actually happened last weekend in Houston. I was driving in between two residential neigborhoods if that makes sense, over a bayou. But anyways, I have my system blaring, it consists of one JL 12w3v2 in a slotted box and JL Audio Comp set amped up, and just this single sub hits hard as hell for me. So I see this police car and they are in front of me like two lanes over. I turn the music down just so I don't piss them off, but even low, there is still some bass. Well, when I get to the stop light right up ahead, the cops pull back and swerve two lanes over and park themselves right behind me. I go through the light. When I turn left onto this street, the cops finally turn their lights on and I pull into this parking lot. When they get out, they tell me that they stopped me because their car was shaking due to my bass, and I swear it is pretty low so I find that pretty cool in a way that other people can feel the bass in their cars, haha. Reguardless, the cop tells me that it is a Class C Misdemeaner and that I can go to jail for it. I got off since this was my first time ever getting pulled over since i got my car two years earlier and I have never had any previous run-ins with the law. But I seriously did not know that you could get pulled over for this, much less go to jail for it. Just thought id tell you all. Laws governing this are usually different for each municipality.

If others can hear your bass louder than they can hear fire/cop/ambulance sirens, you deserve to be pulled over.

I don't see anyone going to jail anywhere in the U.S. for that type of offense, but, I do not know for sure?! I could see a fine and/or fix it ticket, but, not jail time for bumping the bass.

thats not entrapment, the officer was enforcing the law, which in most states an officer can break a law to enforce it.

Entrapment is when an officer lures you into performing a previously or otherwise uncontemplated illegal act.

Say you're in a supermarket minding your own business, and some guy walks up to you and goes, "Hey man, you should really grab that box of Cracker Jacks and steal it!" so you do and he arrests you for it. That is entrapment. Lame example I know, but I think it gets the point across.

Some of the wannabe-law scholars that post on this board really make me laugh. Thanks!

Besides...I didn't take it to mean he backed up...I thought he meant that the cop slowed to get behind him...bhut I've definitely been wrong before.
