What is the word on this?
I notice many do it?
And whether anyone really notices or not, I don't want to take any
chances with my car and do anything illegal.
Windsor Ontario?
Anyone have any info in general??

I think it is legal in Ottawa, but, don't know about Windsor. Myself and another mod are working on getting a Canadian mod with knowledge in this field in here to handle these types of Canadian issues. Because I'm so not certain on even Ottawa being legal let alone Windsor, I will ask one of our Canadian mods to check this for you and see if he knows or can find out for you.

its legal to clear headlights, but once u remove that orange lens, the bulb is not deflecting orange, its clear...that might be illegal...so u wanna get the orange bulb
Yeah, my OEM's were cleared and full of nothing but Hyper Whites. I had one cop tell me that they looked cool but he didn't think it was a legal problem...All he cared about was that something flashed when you signal left or right.
You can save yourself the anxiety and just get TYC projectors like me...he he he.
Either way, all of us here in Ottawa have 'em cleared and have never had a problem. I tend to think the police have bigger things to worry about.
Clearing the headlights in Ontario is LEGAL. The problem arises when you alter the colour of the bulb itself. It must blink amber in colour in the front.

its the same for the states, i wasnt exactly sure about canada, but thanks for clarifying.
You guys will be surprised with this. As most of you know, VA is a backasswards state. I went into my dealership for my state inspection a few months ago with my cleared out headlights and the OEM clear bulbs. I could have really cared less about changing them out to amber (yes, I do have amber bulbs just in case). Well, apparently in VA it's legal to have either amber or clear turn signals. The signals *cannot* be hyper-white like a lot of the ricers do. The head inspection guy actually had to go and dig the book out on it just to make sure and I passed. You guys might want to check into that wherever you live - as long as it's amber or clear and *not* hyperwhite.

Personally i wouldnt go on what your dealer says. I would check out the links i gave above for information on that or if a link wasnt provided for that certain item i would contact your local highway patrol office. The Highway patrol will be more up to date on items like that then your dealer would be.

Buddy of mine is training to become a VA state trooper and saw my car and didn't say anything about my cleared headlights and clear OEM bulbs. He did say that the only things that I could probably get in trouble for if the cop was being a total ass was my exhaust as it's not original equipment and is louder than OE, my car has a modified suspension and I don't have the stock wheels on. He said that unless the cop was so damned bored and looking for something to do, I'm fine. VA is a truly fckgw'd up state.
the law in canada is that on the front, u must have white or amber turn signals and red at the rear. So having white turn signal bulbs in the front with cleared headlights is legal. It is stated in the HTA
