I saw him eating at pho bo ga ... off of somerset ... nice car ... So anyone got any of their civics lowered so I can take a look ... I want to lower mine ... but thinking of Neuspeed Sports ... I am kinda all mixed up now ... oh what tire size to get on my 17's. I think I will do my drop before buying my rims ...
Any chance we can get together sometime and I can check out the drops ???
i would get the rims before lowering if i were u ..... i was thinking of getting 18'' but now that its lowered i dont know if it would still fit or rub... the diameter of the wheels will oubviously be a little bigger than the stock ones for sure
Well so far I got nothing on the outside, but I got a 12" sub (bandpass box) in tha trunk ...
What I really want to do is get mine lowered, get some rims and axleback exhaust.
What I am thinkin of so far is Neuspeed Sport drop. With a 17" rim ... but where I get confused is what tire size to fit onto the 17's ... every place suggests 205/40R/17 but when I calc it on the tire calc ... it is 4% difference (faster) ...
Then when I went to deals4wheels ... he wanted to put me in a 215/45R/17 ... the rim and tire size looked good but then I am wondering about rubbing in the back, when I get my drop. The 215/45R/17 tire gets me the right specs on the speedometer ... but I wonder whether it will be too much tire to clear with a 1.7" drop.
Thats why it would be great if I could check out any of your 7th gen civics that are done up so I can see what specs fit and what dont. Last thing I want is to spend the cash and then get a rub etc...
Tox ... maybe your tires are too thin ... if you got 17's with 40R tires ... the ride will be shit. Maybe get a 45R or get 16's with a tire with more sidewall.
Tek ... yah I have bought rims from deals4wheels before ... they give good service. and I wouldnt doubt that he'd do that for a good customer.
I have 205 40 17 tires on my konig wheels and gold line suspension and it is just fine...! My xenon side skirts sometime rubs...but I'll change the gold line springs first gen for the second gen asap....and It will corect my problem!!!
I'm in quebec city guys and I am planning to do a ride to ottawa this summer cause I have a friend of mine there with a blue 2000 si civic with some blue mirror tinted glass....maybe someone knows her! She's really cute!
I hope to meet you guys!
