god damit, i drive to my last exam this morning, and the car was acting weird, giving out a bad noise from the back wheel, i thought it was the snow or something, when i got to school, my rear right tire is almost completly flat, what a piss of, i left it because i had an exam to worry about, anyways after the exam in the middle of campus i put on my donut, it turns out it is half deflated too i drive to CT, and tell them to fix the tire, expecting a 20 doller bill.
the guy comes to me and says it is a big nail and it made a hole on the edge of the tire, if they use a patch, it will slowly come off becase it is at an angel, so the only solution is to get new tires, and at least 2 for that matter as one would just be stupid. so i got 2 winter tires for my rear wheels, cost me 220 dollers installed, now i am just dead broke.
i guess it is for the better as my tires are really bald, but now i have no money, and i will need new tires for the summer too.
my question, i have one good tire in my trunk, and one punctured one, can i get anything for these babies at like a salvege tire place of something? or should i just hang them on my wall along with my grill

that what i told them, but it turns out that in FWD cars it is better to have the better tires on the back, they have a video about it, its because the car slides when he back tires looks traction, if the front looses traction, you can just turn the wheel and u wont loose as much control, but if the back looses traction then u hydro plane and thats when you fooked.
i learn something new everyday

I bet they were the stock firestones. It was barely wet on the road and I spun em accelerating up to 4k rpms. Turns out I need new tires soon after only 18K miles.
yeah i had the all season stock tire, they suck so bad

Forreal tho, I dunno if you could get much for just the 1 tire... as someone else said -- about 20 bucks...
Yup, that's all you'll get. I got rid of mine at Frisby when I got the car. I went from the dealership to the tire shop..lol. I know the manager of that tire store and that's all he could give me.
lol... those michelins aren't really good in any weather, except dry... but oh well... for winter, my parents have 4 Cooper something tires ... they would never buy such crappy tires tho... they came with the car, but they make so much noise... dunno if they're any good in snow tho, since we don't even use the car during the winter...
Tires I would look into, if we needed new tires, and if they were decent (I'm told these tires are good):

Summer Tires: Yokohama ES100's
Winter: Michelin Alpin Pilot Alpins
Yeah they put Michelin MXV4's on the EL I think. They're a very low end tire. I love Michelin though...I use Pilot Exalto's and they are simply amazing.
My winters are BF Goodrich Winter Slolom's. Basically a more aggressive Arctic Alpin.
