Well as far as I know when you buy the car it should already be undercoated, but they recommend that you get it "diamond coated" by them.... all they do is send it oiltrell or some other place, they SAY that it's guaranteed for life, but when you go ask the company that did the proofing, they say you need to go back each year. ( happend to my friends dad. He payed something like 700 bucks, and he noticed an oiltrell sticker on his back window, then did some investigating.) If you get your car oiled, I would get the clear oil, non drip, and tell them NOT to drill or do the engine bay.. it makes a REAL mess. the undercoat is all you should need. However I have not gotten it done, and this will be my 3rd winter not getting it done. I'll have it sprayed next year. I think if you keep the car clean over winter, you should be ok.

I wold suggest Krown rustproofing out of all of them. National Defense did a study on what anti-rust agents work best. Krown won out big time!

You should get it done every year and it costs about $90 but you can get away with every other year if you like.

Oil spray will melt off the bottom of the car on a hot day and it really makes a mess of everything...

KROWN all the way!

Is it normal if the rust proofing stuff is leaking onto my driveway?

yeah, it's "normal" for the rustproofing. but, to me, it shouldn't.

a lot of people who have it done say it gets everywhere and onto everything.

that's the only reason I'm not gonna do it. Then again, I'm also too lazy to take it somewhere to have it done hehee

Who the hell cares about the little residue on the doors this close to winter. Krown isn't hardly noticeable at all.

Its not really the resedue on the car that bothers me its just that it won't want to come off my parents driveway, by the way, I totally agree with you Pharoh! Krown is probably the best!

Krown is no doubt the best...it's just that after seeing muscles' car...I dunno, it kinda turned me off of rustproofing.

then again, I'm not sure if his was krown?
