I am not able to donate my 02 SI for them to produce a kit for the EPs. So its up for grabs. Someone please donate your EP so he can make a kit. That way I can order one this fall.
SF are you still selling your kit for 2700 and free shipping?...also, I would like to know how well the kit would work for an EX Automatic?...I am not sure about how the turbo's boosting and power changes with an auto and a manual. Thanks!
The $2700 deal for the first group is over. The price for the second group will be $2900 + shipping. It will be at least 2 weeks before I will take anymore orders. My turbos are back ordered.
The Turbo system will fit the EX automatic but I have not tested it on the automatic so you would be the first.
THe horse power is the same but the drive train loss is different so the automatic will not be as efficient.
7 months until I'm out of school and 7months until I get my turbo for my EX with SF on the intercooler but you have to put it on in a unique way. Something that says, "Oh yeah. I'm fast" lol So yeah, shhh don't tell the so cal peeps. I'm keeping a low profile and then BAM! tee hee
The $2900 + shipping deal will run untill the end of Summer. In September the price will go to regular retail. This price is for 7thgencivic.com members only. Thanks for your support.
Derek-
I have turboed auto civics in the past just not a gen 7. The kit will fit the auto gen 7 and you will be the first. Wouldn't run more than 7 lbs of boost and easy on the full throttle shifts. Due to the substantial increase in torque (aprox 70%) it's alot for the trany to handle when shifting. I am working on an auto blow off valve that dumps boost to allow the trany to shift under full throttle. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
A shift kit would be more helpful. It would help with longevity and reliability. A Torque converter will help with performance and acceleration. However with a stall converter you will need to put an exteranal trans cooler due to the added slippage in the converter at low end.
I'll be one of the next few to have a turbo on an LX auto. But I guess I'll have to wait for the end of the summer to get it. Till September huh. Hey that's when my bday is Sept 10th. Can't hold the price at $2900 till then... lol j/k.
Edit: To add to Derek's question about the shift kit.... What does a stall converter do?
i've got a turbo on the way to slap on my auto...and have a trans cooler just sitting here waiting to be installed.... hey sfpower... any more info on the "stall converters" ??
the stall converter lets your engine rev higher before it engages its clutches and grips. a 3000 RPM stall converter will let you hold the brake and rev it to 3000 RPM before it will try to spin the tires. (3000 RPM stall is not good for around town)

a shift kit improves the way the transmissions shifts.
Contrary to popular beliefs, the harder a tranny shifts, the longs it will most likely last. The wear and tear on the auro trannys are mostly caused by slippage of the clutches inside. Once they wear out, it is expensive to fix. So you install a shift kit to make it shift harder/quicker. This will work until you just make so much power that your transmission blows apart. But you wont do that with the stock internals.lol

So you are saying that a shift kit is good or bad? if good, where can we get one for our cars?
I would like to eventually do more than 7psi w/o a tranny swap.
i belieeve a member named civicpunker17 has turbo on his automatic. he had a custom turbo made by SKR performance in jersey. i also met him at HOT IMPORT NIGHTS in philly. so maybe if u can contact him and can tell u how his auto tranny is holding up.
derek, that is more along the lines of what you need. if it is as "bulletproof" as it says, it is worth the $380 to get it. Then you wont have to worry.
Just think, my clutch costs that much

AzNmiKex215-
i contacted him awhile ago when i was researching turbo kits...he said his auto trans was holding up just fine...i'll try to get in touch with him again tho
Derek-
that looks pretty much like a rebuild kit...i emailed them about the shiftronic kit asking for pics and more info..i'll post back here when they reply
i wonder how much it would be in labor to install all that stuff...
That shiftronic thing would be great after you build the tranny. I can see it now, you rev it to 5000RPM, and hit the lockup without building the tranny.
vrrooooooommm!!! BOOM!!!
Then you would hear much cheering and praise for the fireworks display under your car. And you havent hit the 60 ft. mark yet.
