Still tho the who ever stole the car cant start the car anyway due to the fact that all 7 gen civic is KEY CHIP whoever stole it must be from the team Gone in 60 sec.
hmm...there is no way to operate the car unless you do have the key because of the engine immobilizer...perhaps you left a spare/valet somewhere in the car and they found it...or they went to the dealer and asked for a replacement using your vin number...hmm...

you could not be more wrong. If they want to steal it they will.
that ****ing sucks man, I feel sorry for ya. I will keep an eye on RS or vancouvercivics forums for anyone selling the same rims as yours, maybe the ****ers will try to sell them. Keep us updated of your situation man.
Originally posted by gearbox Our cars are easy to steal. Immobilizer is crap and doesn't even work. Someone had their vic stolen with a screwdriver in the ignition.
there are ways around the imobilizer
honda has a hand held key programmer. if someone was to get a hold of that thing, they can program a new chip for the car. all they have to do is hold the new key where the ignition is then do the usual hot wiring to get the car started.
wow, that surprises me, should i be concerned now, i thought the stock imobolizer was reliable, i'm sure icbc will investigate like a bitch, good luck w/ that one

They better do something, those mofo need to start doing something useful and not pushing the blame on the victim, like me. It took over 8 months to get my rear bumper fixed because they kept telling me it's my fault when it was obvious that it wasn't, all they will do is 50/50 or 75/25, but they end up giving the other guy full responsibility after some intense through talk with pictures as proof. Go get them!!!
Dang man.. sorry to hear about your car..
Hopefully the insurance would cover it.. and to those MoFo
KARMA is in the works.. they have something happen to them later.
Man I am so sorry to hear the shi tty news. Your car was so damn hot. Where did you say they found it again? Give me the exact area, I'll ask a few buddies and see if they know anything from some acquaintances. Probably a long shot, but I am sure it would be nice to find out something.
Anyways, good luck with ICBC, and let us know what you are going to get now. I was wondering why I hadn't seen your car outside my place lately.
Thanks Randy, they found my car by 104th and 120th down Tannery road and right on pan road, they burnt it behind the ralphs scrap yard.
I met with ICBC on tuesday woman was super nice gave her my receipt and pic of my car said that adjuster will look at the receipts and will call me with a offer on my car, I told her want between $21k-$23k that would be perfect
I just bought a truck toay for now a 89 toyota 4x4 ext cab v6. I got a good deal will prb make $2500 selling it again. Something for now and running shit over.
I know exactly where you are talking about. I have a buddy that runs a part shop in that area, and I used to work down there. I'll keep my ear to the street for you.
Good luck with ICBC, we all know how they can be. Every now an then, you get a decent adjuster and there are no problems. Just go in guns blazing with recpiepts and pics, and you'll get everything you want, I had a buddy that did that, and got way more than his care was worth.
