Motegi Style Honda Civic

I was driving past Surrey Honda yesterday and noticed the Motegi version Honda Civic.

I liked what they had done with it, but noticed what they priced out the accessories at. It was outrageous, but what can you expect from a dealership.

I have to say that I really liked the Wings West spoiler, and the JDM Style Headlights. Does anyone have an idea how much the headlights are?

The HKS exhaust was a nice addition as well, I wasn't totally crazy about the rims though.

What does everyone else think about it?

Cheers
Randy

Randy,

You finally saw the motegi civic hun! I told you it was pretty sweet. The headlights are just the tyc projectors. I think your looking 200-350 new! I'm not to sure about that.

It also has a SRI and springs...

How much were they asking for it again? 25,***

Stock SI $17,000
Rims $2000.00
SRI $200
Springs $300
Spoiler $500 + paint
Headlights $350
Exhaust $500

TOTAL=$21,850

UMMMM!!!! Stroking dealers....

Asking Price

They were asking a whole lot more for it than that!

They wanted $29 800 for it, if you can believe it.

It looks good, and I now want new headlights to go with the smoked and dark motif I am going for on my car. I didn't get to see the SRI or springs as it was closed and really dark.

But yeah it looks nice, not worth the extra 6000 though, I would rather do it myself!

Cheers

Are you sure on that price? Last time I checked i'm sure that it was 25 or 26K. I think you need some glasses or something!

No! not really why did you pay more? I paid 23K for mine but it is a "Veloz" I just guessed on the stock price. My point was that is it still cheaper to do everything yourself as far as the mods are concerned!

Rob,

Trust me it was $29 800 for the Motegi version. It was hard to read the big bold letter's off of the windshield.

I couldn't believe it myself.

You can get an LX for about $18000 (That would be what I got it for). I think the SI would then be $19250 (if you work them down to the bone) if I my friend remembers right (he used to work at Honda).

Hmm... well if you're patient you can swing some pretty sweet deals. I've spent an extra $5000 on my car and I would say it's presentable (have to tidy it up and fix some minor points).

So, I say that the Motegi one is about bang on. I mean it does include install, paint and everything.

I mean it's easily possible for you to install your bolt ons, but because this is done by the company it won't void the warranty, so hey WHY not?

UMMM! Yes I agree with the warranty thing but 4,000 to have everything installed and painted!

PLUS they quote on the sticker price like 3600 for rims and another 1200-1500 for rubber! Lets be honest these are not racing hart rims they are motegi!

I paid 23K for my car new (VELOZ) for 6 grand more I could have a way nicer car then the Motegi Street Edition.

Don't get me wrong I still like the car. Just not the price!

Yeah, I'll try and sneak out and take a pic.

I just want to add a couple things to this converstation:

Actually they aren't even Motegi rims, they are CSA rims.

They put a rear section HKS exhaust on, which is nice, but definately isn't worth what they have it listed as. $799.

If I wanted to drop $800 bones on an exhaust I would get a DC TCS (Best sounding exhaust on the market in my mind).

They have all the other accessories listed at outrageous prices as well. I have to agree with Rob, that they have the accessories well overpriced. But I'll get some specifics tonight and post them for you, I live about 3 minute drive from Surrey Honda.

Cheers
Randy
