Hello all, I just talked to Columbus Recreation and these are the options we have.
1) We can reserve Blacklick Park (in Reynoldsburg) on Saturday, June 7, 2003 for a half day... cost $50.
-2 picnic tables
-accomodates approximately 25 to 30 people
2) Take our chances with finding a park space with no reserve or guarantees... cost $0
There was limited availibility on that date...
Please post what you think 1 or 2; and offer suggestions for the meet. Will you be willing to contribute to the park reserve? Because the money is due 3 days after the reservation is made... we need to act quickly, so please respond ASAP.
Why don't we get a confirmed attendance count and then divide the $50 amongst those who attend? Someone might have to front the $50 and then just collect from everyone at the meet. Unless, it's wise to take our chances, might wanna go with option #1. But if you say you're going, better go. Cuz' then someone will get stiffed the money if no one shows, not to mention, feel like a complete loser. So who's going???
I know Reytito and LJ expressed interest, but I guess it's better to wait for their green light. I'm still new to the crew, so all you veterans need to rally the peeps.
Where is everybody else at? I want to hear from peeps, before we reserve the park.... I'm not throwing away $50 if only a handful of peeps are gonna show up. If its less than 10 of us, we don't need to reserve the park, we can just meet up and hang out... Plan B.
Originally posted by AdamOSU I think it'd be a good idea to reserve it. I dunno what car Im gonna have by then but I'd like to hang out with all my Columbus peeps again. Later.
Hey Adam, it doesn't matter what kind of car you're driving, we'd be happy to have you at the meet. But don't bring anything faster/better than our cars, because I am easily influenced and my be forced to upgrade

What do you mean there is nothing better than our civics.
I can prolly be there, I'm all about the reserved space, I'll throw down $5 or $10 for a secure place to meet that is easy to find... unlike LJ's meet place
