I am a regular skiier at Mad River Mountain just outside of Bellefontaine,OH. I was wondering if anyone in ohio/indiana would like to have a Ski Resort Meet&Greet at Mad River this coming January. If we get 10+ people I'll call ahead and see if we can get a discounted group rate.
They have a fairly large lodge for such a small place and lots of room for us to roam, play, ski, eat and all hang together. They have a huge parking lot which would be great for some civics-in-the-snow pics.
It's only about 40 minutes northwest of columbus, easy to find, and the lift ticket prices are very reasonable. Check the Mad River Website for more information.
Post up here and let me know what you think. I work on saturday's, and sundays are a great day for skiing, so I was thinking 2nd sunday in January, which would be January 11th, 2003. It'd be great to get together when we can't really do much with cars, and do some other things and talk about our plans for the coming spring/summer season and swap parts/etc.

Skiing isn't very hard, if you've never before, it's always healthy to have a stiff drink and a beginners lesson before hitting the larger slopes... for those of us who are veteran skiiers you may find comfort in us helping you as well. Even if you've never gone before, and are scared to (*COUGH*LJ*COUGH*), you should really give it a shot, unless you are too poor to afford to go (*COUGH*LJ*COUGH*).

hehe, yeah i saw that, you need to fix how it looks but I guess that is another one of my classic quotes. just remember: Don't mess with me, i don't get mad, I get devious revenge.
I'm up for it, although it's been ahile since I've been skiing (went snowboarding last year..... that didn't turn out so well ) But let me know when you wanna do it..... I was by mad river today and there's snow on the mountain!
Edit - I use the term "mountain" loosely, more like large hill but whatever
I would go, I live in Dayton, but the first time I went on the slopes was about 7 months ago on Mad River, everyone else went skiing and I took a snowboard...basically I got owned!!! It was pretty fun though!
hmmm, there is a really good chance that i will go, the g/f loves to snowboard, and she said she would pay.... so I think im in
