help I cannot shrink!

Hi guys,
OK you are reading someone who is very computer illiterate (at least w/ my new scanner and uploading pics). I am trying to post pictures and they are too big! I have looked everywhere for how to resize them in the photo gallery and yes I did search past posts here too before posting myself. How the he(( am I suppossed to shrink 'em?
Melissa

You can adjust the DPI or PPI (dots per inch / pixels per inch) when you are scanning your image. all you need for a clean image on a computer screen is 72dpi @ 640x480 pixels

Hopefully you can see this on your options when you are scanning.

This will get your file size down and you should be able to post up pics, without any problems.

Hope this helps.
