Yeah, the width of your rim should go with the tire width. So for our Civics you'll usually find 17x7 or 17x7.5, so find out which you have now if you wanna use the same tires.
...and your idea of having two different rims--one set on each side... LOL it's hilarious, but not dumb, I'm not making fun, it's brilliant and also just very amusing. I once thought of this too, since I can't imagine when and where and how someone might actually see both sides at the same time, (except parked next to a shop window with a reflection).
I'd be worried about balancing/handling issues. Unless you have two pairs with the same offset and wheel weight then I'm sure there's going to be some adverse effect, you might even feel air turbulence pulling at your car on the highway from different spoke designs ...it might feel like someone fat sitting next to you, and you don't want that. I dunno. Too many risky unknowns to justify a little indecisiveness.
Besides, it's nice to have two complete sets you can switch between. It's a lot easier to deal with in just about everyway I could imagine.
Oh BTW, not like this'll be helpful... but I like the 9th, or 3rd last... the black with the red lip. I have an EBP and I thought even that was too dark for gold rims, so I went with bronze. I usually despise black rims, but not on a black car. Hey, then you could get some red lug nuts! You'd have this wicked black/red thing going on. Aww, yeah, YEAH! Do it!
