I agree....to a point. If someone asks for a site banner or logo that will be used to make money...then yes, that art work SHOULD be paid for....it's common sense, and only fair.
But if someone asks for a signature (for the forums) or to see what their car looks like with a CF hood, or a different color, or to see what some new rims will look like....then it's FINE....and we're MORE than happy to do it. If you don't want to....cool...nobody asked you.

How can you place a value on something that people are MORE than willing to do for FREE? It doesn't make sense. (ref. "a simple photo'chop' as said here"...I assume to mean rim chops, body chops, etc.)
You're not the ONLY pro on this forum you know? Ever heard of the other "Pro's" rippin' on us "punks" ? Nope.....why? Because they're cool with it. If their "PRO" services are requested...then OF COURSE they're going to get paid for it. This site wasn't created for the "Pro's" to solicit their services. It was created for the common person to chop, learn, and have fun....it just so happens that sometimes people ask here for chops to be done, and to be paid for.
Us "punks" work just as hard as you do (and prolly spend MORE time on these chops than you do),
to the best of our abilities, and USUALLY we don't get paid for it....why? 'Cause we do it for FUN (and maybe some lil perks that people OFFER)....and yes, we're not as good as you "Pro's". But neither is someone, say asking for a signature, expecting "PRO" quality work.
This is also the reason that I NEVER post chops for money. I tried that once or twice, got shot down, realized that these things WERE better left to the "pro's" and I stick to the "fun chops"....as do many of us "punks".
I dunno much about you or why you posted that (nor can I sense ANY sarcasm in your post), but if you'd like to include PICHY as a "punk as who ripped off PS" .... then I think your view of "punk" is SLIGHTLY skewed (heh..note the PS reference, lol).
True, I didn't PURCHASE PS from a store......but neither did I go to school for this, and (sad but true, lol) I've NEVER MADE MONEY FOR MY WORK. I'm self taught through books, tutorials, and "trial-n-error". I'm proud of that, and I think the other "punks" are as well.
No...I'm prolly not NEARLY as good as you, and nor will I EVER be.....
To the best of my knowledge....PICHY is the only (by your own def.) "Punk" that makes money for his work. (And in my opinion, and obviously others too....HE DESERVES IT...HE'S GOOD!)
Now I ask you....is his work not as good as yours? Does the fact that you do it for a living, and went to school for it make you a better person (as implied by your post) ?

....and honestly, I think your post was TOTALLY out of line. If you want to get paid for it, ask....if he's not willing to pay...then fine...DON'T DO IT. But there was NO need to chastise the rest of us because we didn't buy PS, we're not schooled, and we don't have 12 years of exp.
