I'd have to say my favorite medium is Anime, and my favorite type would be Sci-fi/action

I also am a fan of the earlier mentioned adult entertainment/erotica

film noir (the good stuff tho), suspence/action (like usual suspects and se7en and pulp fiction), comedies, anime, good action movies...usually involving martial arts (charlies angels, jackie chan, bruce lee), then theres the deep movies with a message (do the right thing, better luck tomorrow, 25 hours) ... really tho, as long as its a good movie, i dont really have a particular favorite genre...
