They're decent. They definitely have some good singles. I'd take Jack Johnson or John Mayer first though anyday for mellow music.

Honestly, most music that comes out today is crap. People don't know how to write a good song anymore. Coldplay, Travis, Ilya, and perhaps Interpol are the only exception to this in the last 5 years. (There are few other, but most of you wouldn't know them anyway...) Coldplay is awesome. I'll probably get crucified for this, but Linkin Park and the likes are just cheesy teen angst/teeny booper stuff.

Ok all I have to say is interpol sucks. The guy couldn't sing if his life depended on it. And to your comment on Linkin Park. I've never been that big of a fan, but they're new CD I must say is quite good.

I'll admit when I bought the Interpol album, I listened to it once and then left it alone for about two weeks. His voice is a bit harsh. When I listened to it again it just grew on me. You have to listen to it a couple of times before you learn to appreciate it.

Since you listen to John Mayer (oh god...) I can tell why you don't like Interpol. Now as far as comparing him to Coldplay, there's just no comparison; I'll listen to Coldplay any day... but then again, to each there own.

Actually I'm really a punk fan, and don't listen to much slower music. And no not your Blink 182 punk (although I do listen to them, because I used to go see them for $5 in my hometown back in '95 and '96 when nobody had heard of them), but rather the likes of Bad Religion, etc. If you all are looking for a good album, check out the White Stripes new album, Elephant: excellent piece of work.

Thanks for recommendation greatcasa. I've listened to the White Stripes. I can only handle so much of them. The guitar and drumset only things gets old pretty fast. I did catch them on Conan O'Brien on Wednesday and Friday. They were his music guest all week long.

Oh and thanks too jiggerachi. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that feels this way.
