Kenshin!

Anyone watch Kenshin? Give me your opinions on this series. I think it rocks! The prequal episodes I think are the best anime I've seen in a while as far as artwork.

I have both Samurai X Trust and Betrayal. I agree they're something that every anime fan should watch. I want to get Samurai X Reflections. Though I don't know if it's out yet, + i'm too broke. When it comes to Rurouni Kensin (The TV series) I don't really like it because it's too goofy. Then again I saw Samurai X before I saw Rurouini Kenshin so that's probably why.

Kenshin is ok. I didn't particularily like it or dislike it.

I saw trust and betrayal before the tv show as well so I was a little disappointed in Rurouni Kenshin but it grew on me... Reflections is out and sitting on my tv at home waiting to be watched. I cant watch it yet though kuz my friend needs to lend me the last episodes before reflections....

I saw the prequel (OAV) and I liked it.
The action sequences were very well executed and not excessive to the point where it distracted the viewer from the storyline.
The director really utilized silent moments to help hypnotize the audience into the characters anguish, sadness, and overall feelings of betrayal.
As for the show, I have mixed opinions.
The show was designed for tv audiences, which insures heavy censorship. Come on, this is a Kenshin show, so that has to have a heavy dependence on bloody violence!
I like the feudal era period as far as stories are concerned, and the show hasn't butchered historical fact, nor does it give the audience a sense of environment like Lain did to the digital/cyberpunk genre.

My review, which is only an opinion, is to watch it.
Just don't be disappointed when you're not as "enlightened" as if you finished up Lain or Evangelion.

Kenshin (TV show) rocks, I saw it first before all the OAV came out, the first season of kenshin is boring, too goofy, but after Saito's return, when a lot of Kenshin past is revealed and the Shishio fight, just excellent, altought, it's very dissapointing to see the TV show after the OAV, cause the most interesting part of Kenshin life is explained already on the OAV...and all that is left on the TV show is goofy kenshin, but I love the whole story

I'm not a big anime fan, not hardcore, but Kenshin sure catched my eye
