I've seen some topics of music in the forum and thought that some might be interested in a band, not too big yet. O.A.R. is a band I think a lot of people will like. They are similar to DMB but with a more southern accent. "That was a Crazy Game of Poker" is one of their big hits. I recommend if anyone hasn't heard them give em a try. I've been listening to them for about 4 years now and they're coming out with a 4th album this month. You can download their songs via songspy or and other mp3 downloader.

i've heard of them. there was a big article about them and interview with them in the independent florida alligator a few weeks ago. i think they played here in gainesville but it was right around finals time so it was impossible for me to go. i will check them out tho. thanks!
It's definitely different from DMB, i'd sat that Johm Mayer is a lot like DMB. I do; however, like OAR, they're local to Ohio and i like that song, it kinda sticks with you, the beginning think it a lil slow, but i like it more towards the end [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

O.A.R. is great! There are many other good songs in addition to Crazy Game of Poker. Too many to name, but some of the best are hey girl, city on down, and delicate few. I saw them in concert and they're even better than on cd. You can really see the resemblance to DMB when you hear the two in concert.

you can jam to so many oar songs just chillen around with a couple of friends.... the bset OAR moment i had was just in the basement takin beer bongs with my friends... i f'in wailed them in like a tounament... wierd drinkin game... but OAR was on we sang... a friends little bro played with them on his guitar... oh shit we jammed to untitled, crazy game, if only she knew, hey girl, conquerin fools... goooooooood shit oh god im seeing them at the sprite remix thing on sept. 6th... how long are they gonna play cuz NERD taleb qwali and others will be there but i just wanna see OAR... id stick around for NERD tho
