Well, I found her but, alas, she was waiting for the ideal man."

I am too tired to explain it now. But I might later. The link to DI is a good site. I am a techno head at heart, but last night was rough.
Totally off topic of this post....Nice avatar Arcan3

In the header of the main body of the page, you'll see several types of techno genres. just mouse-over each one and it'll give you a sample of it.
Like with all music, if you're not open minded then you'll jump back and turn away. I got into dance music, which led to techno, and now i pretty much like everything out there. even Gabber at times.

Yeah, that Ishkur's guide to electronic music is a great place to learn about all the different kinds of electronic music....but he makes fun of just about every style...I guess you have to know to understand some of what he says.
There are soooo many different kinds of electronic music. The main genres would be house, breaks, jungle/DnB, trance, techno (yes there is a genre called techno), progressive, and hardcore. Now within each style, there are like 15 sub-genres including acid, progressive, funky, nu skool, ambient, hard, psy, garage, 2step, electro, happy, deep, disco, jump up, tech step, ragga, tribal, etc, etc, etc......... And then you have some real weird shit called expermental and acid jazz.....I have to be in a real chill, open minded, mood to get in to those.
