I made a post a month ago about a 8lb Turbo set up from TURBO DISCOUNTERS.
I FINALLY GOTTHEM ON THE PHONE AFTER ATLEAST 50 PHONE CALLS.
THIS IS WHAT BRENT FROM TURBO DISCOUNTERS SAID.
1. Turbo will VOID your WARRENTY. HE expressed that this is MOSTLY for PRoject cars ect, So if you just got your 2003 civic, wait til your warrenty is up. This was thr FIRST thing he said.
2. "me", Are you having problems with the Fuel System.
"him", NO
3.THIS TURBO KIT WILL BE A BOLT ON, YES BOLT ON, All you have to do need is an oil line for the turbo, THATS IT. Though he said a little drilling will make the INTERCOOLER fit more snug.
4."me" How much boost will this handle?? "him" 16lb!. They are making internals so who knows, 12lb of boost may be possible.
5. He reccomended 8:5:1 Pistons, as an internal upgrade.
6. PRICING. I SEEN THE OTHER POST ABOUT THE SPPOWER OR WHAT EVER, HE WANTS I THINK 3300$$$!!! All you kids that know nothing about TURBOS, THAT IS A RIP!!!!!!!
he will be offering his for 2400.00$ EVERYTHING INCLUDED. Sure you could it peice together if you have all the tools for around 1000.00$ But with good RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT id spend the extra.
7."me" I aint gettin rid of my a/c for a dam turbo, i live in Las Vegas with 120 degree weather!
"him" A/C will NOT be affected.
8."Him", I want this to be an AFFORDABLE set up, 75+ hp should not cost an arm and leg.
9."him" Call me in 4 weeks, Ill have everything finallized!!!!

Next time you are in talks with him, can you find out any specifics on how they have overcome the fuel system problem? i.e. more injectors, did they make something themselves, etc. This is info that we all need!!!!
wow...good man! i like the sound of that...he seems interested in producing a cheap turbo that actually produces a lot of power...hopefully he come through with his word.
2400 sounds so tempting, but a little skeptical
i guess we'll see in 4 weeks!
fuel system is my biggest concern and so far I've heard zip from these companies. You will need bigger injectors which I've yet to see included. You need a bigger fuel pump again haven't seen, and possible a 1:1 regulator along with a piggy back controller to control pulse widths to get the damn thing to idle with much larger injectors.

I still have six years left on mine, but I really don't care. If I can buy a turbo setup, I can just as fast part it out and get a new engine if it gets totally ****ed.
