Question A few turbo questions

Hi guys i have been reading the boards for a while now and finally needed to post a few turbo questions. What is the maximum psi our stock cars can handle, (EX). Is it posible to port and polish an engine and then add a turbo? What about injecting nitrous into the intercooler? What can i do to increase the strength of motor to handle higher boost and the other items? If our engines could handle those three things we would finally be able to go fast! 1. People are saying 7-8psi to be on the safe side. If you want more, you should look into internals: pistons, connecting rods, etc etc.

2. Yes. As a matter of fact, porting would be a good idea on the exhaust end because it would give a greater flow into the manifold and allow the turbo to spool faster.

3. If you want to inject nitrous and run a turbo, you are going to be looking at more money for the internals to support it.
