I ran into this website that had some intersting info
I have tried to call them atleast 20 times but no luck. It appears they will be offering a Complete Turbo set-up out this spring. Availble in two diffen't stages. Superior and Extreme. http://turbodiscounters.com/html/turbo-honda.aspx
Our "Superior" Turbo Kit for Honda cars are designed to meet the need of the avid auto enthusiast. Using the top quality Garrett Turbos in a bolt on package you can safely increase your horsepower while maintaining the engines durability and reliability. By simply adding 5 pounds of boost to your air and fuel flow system you can enjoy approximately 30 percent more horsepower from your engine. This is the most cost effective way to increase horsepower while maintaing the integrity of your daily drive.
If you are looking for the ultimate in high performance - the "Extreme" Turbo Kit is designed for you. Providing the maximum horsepower for the very discriminating while still providing dependability for daily driving. Incorporating all the high performance equipment in the superior perrformance packages, the "Extreme" package includes an inercooler pop off valve, extra injectors and an injection control unit. This offers complete control for your system, increased fuel delivery, and cooler temperature gas air mixture for better burning.
The addition of this system can add as much as an additional 20 percent increase in horsepower (56% increase from your unmodified car) about and beyond the "Superior" Tubo Kit.
Originally posted by Smokie2k2LX Those numbers aren't too great for 8lb. What's 56% going to amount to? maybe 150-160hp.
Isn't RiceBurnerEX running 8psi putting 200hp down?
If you look on the parts list for the Superior set, It does not come with an intercooler or Bov,
Intercooler itself probley worth 15-20 whp on a turbo set up. Im assuming this Superior set would be cheaper than 2600$? If you notice the superior sets are alot cheaper than the extreme.
Extra injectors? Isn't that the cheap, easy, and somewhat inconsistent way of doing a fuel system?
Stafford Fab. has the only real way of doing a fuel system for these cars, and it doesnt require a return line likle most people think. And it doesnt need a new fuel rail, new injectors, or anything. Works with all stock parts.
How hard is it to install your fuel kit? is it easier than 3 wires, a fuel in and fuel out?

well.... the turbo isn't out yet..... so i wouldn't get too happy yet....
when it's out and comments and tests are done on it..... than
I will be a sure believer
Actually, I'm still thinking about it. A lot of people were saying "WTF are you doing?... it's not worth it!" Others were saying "Wait a year, then decide."
Unless I just wait until my car is paid off... then I can get an even better car than the IS300... my dream car......... the BMW M3! (drooling)
I duno. I guess I don't need a flashy car just yet (yeah right!!! I still want one!). But if I can make my car go just as fast as the IS300 (is that possible?), then I'll be happy. The luxury and flashy part can wait.... for now.
Originally posted by genx_7 Since the extreme turbo says 56% increase I did that for lx
stock 115 x 56% which came out to be 64.4
Which totals 179.4
for ex, the stock is 127 i think
stock 127 x 56% comes out to be 71.2
Which totals 198.12.
In theory that's what the company is claiming.
But I'm sure it won't be good as these numbers when tests are done.
That's fwhp though. I think they are talking about whp. And it says up to 56% which means about 56 whp. Which means about 156-160 whp for the EX or LX/DX. For the cost of a full intercooled set-up at that price... it's what I would expect.
Catalyst: That manifold looks good. Good quality job.
180 HP.... Would that really beat an RSX Type S, I know that could be a 2000 SI with a few bolt ons... The RSX doesn't really weigh that much more than our civics. I just don't know, it doesn't seem right, If the RSX is stock, and a pretty crappy driver at that, we would prolly be dead even with them, and they may even pull on us at that.
I dunno, some people on this site, seem to make there cars out to be alot faster than they are, because my civic is slow as hell, and all these people talk about beating these bad ass cars, or running the amazing times, and I can't come close... Sorry, just bothered me.
(Not saying bragging is bad, I hope some day my civic will rape a Type S!!! )
