Re: T.E.A.R.S. - Turbocharged Engines Anonymous Relief and Support Thread
What?! I don't even get a T.E.A.R.S. Member #whatever? I'm just an honorary member?! My blown HG, fubar'd exhaust, spangled PS pump spindle, dead gauges and everything else that hasn't happened yet don't count?
I'm a full-fledged member or I'm going to sneak into everyone's garage and plaster your cars with Megan and Summit Racing stickers. Don't think I don't have enough to go around!!
I claim member #2 dammit! Anyone who wants it bad enough to take it from me, you know where I live.

That's not an awful idea. Why don't put the battery in the trunk to free up some more space? How much is welding going to run you? Keep in mind that your downpipe is probably stainless (dezod one right?) so your DT and flange should be stainless as well in order for them to stick together when TIG welded...

Not true, you absolutely can weld stainless and steel together using 309 filler wire. You will always end up with the same or slightly higher weld strength than the weaker material but joint fitment can drastically change the circumstances.
