k20 swap 1/4 times

i went to the track last night and i ran a 16 with my k20 swap in my 01. Now i believe it was so slow because of my 18" rims. Is this true? i also have full interior with a big ass subwoofer box in the trunk. what do u guys think. I got roasted twice last night once by a 14 sec cobra and again by a 12 sec EVO MR

next time remove as much unneccessary weight and switch to smaller rims before you go to the track

really thaat is way to slow..waaaaaaay slow even if u have all that weight. something is wrong. did u just drop in the swap? and what parts do u have on the swap

pretty much its just a stock swap...i have no extra parts on it yet.. i have a cold air but not on yet. im 235 lbs and i know my subs way atleast 70 or 80 lbs...like off the line i was so slow but after words i was pulling alot harder..when i raced the cobra he killed me off the line but through the thousand he beat my by almost a sec. well i think its the rims..maybe a lil of my driving...

Thats really slow, even for an a3. stock a2 should be in 14s cause an RSX-S runs a 14.1 or so.

Yes that is very, very slow my first and only time at the track it was hot as hell, my 60' times were horrible (best was 2.45) and I still ran 14.1. I would say that something is wrong with your car. What were your trap speeds??

the slowest u should hit would be 15s. even with a bad driver 15s would be possible. and on 18s ud have more traction. so something could be wrong with the motor. maybe timing is off.

You should be in the 14s' but 18" rims will slow you down... cant all be cool like me

^ it shouldnt slow u down to the point of being 2 seconds behind.

Depends on your mods BUt i've seen a lot of high 13s.

For other chassis like EGs and EKs, its lower 13s.

I actually ran a 15.1 one of my passes LOL I completely bogged off of the line, I got beat by a 5.0 that ran a 15.0xx.

yea it kinda felt like i was boggin down also off the line cause it was slow. My car has the k pro but i didnt have the funds to get it tuned yet so i dont know if that might have an effect cause im sure fuel pressure or timing can be a huge issue. So next week im gonna take my seat out and my system and see if i approve. Is it true every 100 lbs is a 1/10 of a sec.

doesn't stock manual civics able to run a 15.7??? yeah something is wrong there man.

yea i have the a2..so yea something hs to be wrong but i dont know what..it pulls hard as hell from a roll, just yesterday i beat the new 06 gt...so what do u think..

Shoot, you know theres something wrong with your car if I got an lx w/ i/h/e on my em2, and I could beat your k20 swapped vic... *shakes head* Just got to the tuner- how can you drop all that money on the swap and then not put the money down for a tune? Go to the tuner, if there is something wrong, he'll probably find it in the process.
