Exclamation walbro 255 fuel pump

I am trying to finish my project on my 2001 civic vtec. I have all the turbo parts installed and now I am in the fuel part. I bought a walbro intank fuel pump. My mechanic told me that he tried to put the pump but the pump was to big to fit on the pump holder. Have any of you guys has had this problem? I did bought the one for 01+ civics. Please help !!!!! it requires triming of the pump cage to make it fit. Im assuming your converting to return style system?

If the person doing the install is even remotely mechanical minded he should be able to figure it out. I have some pictures on my web site but none show the actuall triming.... Opto_isolator who used to be very regular poster had a nice write up on it but i think the imiages have poofed..... Check out HERE in the first section it has some pictures, and even one with the parts that i removed from the stock fuel pump cage to make it a return style system

and assuming you do it similar to the way i did, DONT use regular fuel injection hose, you must use submirsible fuel injection hose(available from gates for sure) or risk having the hose buble and be destroyed
