Another quick question that i know a lot of people have...
how many volts does the MAP sensor see under zero vaccum? And where do you think they should clamp the MAP sensor voltage at?
Ive been asked this many times, and i know it all varies due to conditions. But you are much more experienced with the emanage than i am, so i figure you could elaborate on this a little better than i could.
I did ALOT of datalogging , mainly to figure out where to put the MAP sensor clamp. Heres what i found.
1. 0 Vacuum 2.65 Volts
2. At 6.5 PSI map sensor was reading 3.9 Volts, So this means for every 1lb of boost, Voltage went up .19 Volts.
3. With the correction factor of 340/245, Dropped the voltage to 2.85 (what the ECU actually see's) Volts at 6.5 PSI. Therefore, The Emanage puts out ONLY 0.03 Volts for every 1 lb of boost.
4. CEL comes on when the ECU sees 2.9-3.0 Volts or higher from the MAP, Figured this out when I went to 11 PSI, or 2.98 volts. With all this being said, I clamped mine at 2.89 Volts
Im at 2300 ft altitude so keep that in mind to.

Great info taught me some things I needed to know to make an educated decision. I know you sell a lot of the emanages and I was almost convinced to buy one, but your explaination made me think to save my money and buy the standalone.
It seems like the emanage needs constant maintenance just to keep your settings from changing after relearning happens for a couple weeks.
How often do these relearning eposides happen before it starts effecting my tune. I dont want to pay a couple hundred bucks every month to keep my motor from having extremely lean conditions and blowing my motor.
Am I being nuerotic about this or is it something that needs to be corrected every six months. I am at the pivotal stage in my turbo that I need injectors and a fuel management system then i am ready to install.
Maybe just a few kind words of reassuring from you emanage guys is all I need
Sucks because i love my car but I feel like an idiot when it comes to motor work...........Maybe ill just stick to stereos

You know the ropes, though.

The e-manage can work VERY well, but needs lots of fine tuning initially to ensure all is well.

BUMP!
What are the typical CELs for the map sensor seeing boost? Is it P1106 (Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage)? I am runnign the ML only because the MAP sensor hole in my intake in too large for my stock map sensor. The ML fits just right, go figure. I did not throw this code until I put the 3" exhaust on, maybe just a coinsidence? Today I also threw P0300-P0304 (random misfire, misfire cyl 1-4) Someone care to elaborate?

1106 Could be from seeing boost.
The 0300 & 0304 are tuning issues you need to resolve. Your having dentonation. You can destroy your motor and/or HG that way.
