Some info to save some tuning headaches

I thought I'd share my final results on my jet sizes on my 50 shot NOS brand wet kit. According to the AEM wideband a/f ratio gauge, I'm running right at 12.5:1 under all motor WOT. When spraying (starting at 4400 rpm's) I'm running 13:1. At 6200 rpm's (right at when the systems turns off by means of the window switch) I'm running 12.1:1. This is at 950 psi bottle pressure. I consider this to be as close as I can get according to the recommended 12.5:1 when spraying. My final jet sizes used where .020 fuel and .030 nitrous. So if anybody is considering bolting up a 50 shot and is worried about getting it just right, well, here you go To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Well, I guess I should've told my car type. I have an 02 LX coupe 5-speed. This is a non-vtec engine. I can't say this would be the same on a vtec, but I'd say you'll be "good to go " with this on LX models.

It prolly depends on air intake temps too. however if the jets he suggests make the car run a lil richer than what the NOS suggested jets are, you will be safer for running them. No harm in running a lil bit fatter. Less chance of detonation is a good thing.

The jets I suggest make it run a little leaner than the recommended jets from NOS. They say run a 22 fuel and a 30 nitrous for a 50 shot. This combo made it run around 11:1 a/f ratio. Although the instructions kinda contradict theirselves. It says the recommended jets are for a 43 psi fuel system. But then it says in the fine tuning section to run between .019-.021 for a .030 nitrous jet with 40 psi fuel pressure. I found this to be better according to the wideband. I thought about going the other way by going richer on the nitrous jet. Say a .022 fuel and .032 nitrous. This would be the same as the .020/.030 combo, just a little more power. I didn't want to overpower the engine with more than it could handle, so I lowered the fuel jet instead.
