ya we just want a base kit for low boost that is bolt and go, but with some optional equipment for those who want better fuel system or coated manifolds, etc.

That is what we are looking into. An intercooler-less, T25, low boost kit.

BTW: when I was looking at TSI kits, for D17 they have only extreme kit (with intercooler), they also carry and alternative (not for D17), intercoolerless turbo kit. On average it costs about $1800-1900 for other honda engines.
Dezod, its good way if you will complete the gap and introduce thek you just mentioned. TSI skipped on it and you you will pick up their buck.
Meaning that, rather compete with TSI (you main oppnent for d17 kit)
you will offer a different choice for the customers. Just reading this post I see at least 5 possible buyers where at 2 will buy for sure, possibly 3-4.

I'm completely onboard with instaboost idea. I guess i have to be since I threw it out. But I do have one thing... I don't have an issue with an intercoolerless base kit, but I'm gonna have to have an IC. I wouldn't take the car out on the track and hammer it without one.
Just someone ball park it here, I don't need an exact figure... for an intercooler the size of the MS miata or so (1/2 the front grill) and the associated plumbing, what am I looking at? 500? 700? I'm gonna have to do the plumbing myself or move the oil cooler around. I just think the IC option is a good option to have around cuz I bet more than a few people will take it as a basic safety upgrade.
I figured low pressure boost with a small IC, a big oil cooler and the overdone factory radiator ought to keep the motor safe from blowing up.
mine is a johnnyracer e-bay FMIC and works great, was only $200? It's a little on the long side but fits with some trimming on the bumper. There is no REAL advantage to name brand FMIC's but im sure Dezod could supply you with a cost effective one to meet your needs

i agree with boiler- im gonna want an IC just to be safe. don't have to be a liquid cooled one, just the size of like half of our radiator or something. ive seen some small intercoolers with guys running 6psi
Which is why I said intercoolerless base kit w/ IC option.
That defeats the option of the base kit, because now your identical with the core kit I already have and THAT is $2875 and in stock now. If I include a base kit with an I/C and a smaller turbo now I compete direct with TSI.

exactly, this is supposed to be a base kit. so dezod can you give a quick summary of what it will come with? i'm already looking for stuff like gauges and turbo timer which i wanna make sure won't come with the kit. also the blue emanage should be fine for tuning right?
