View Poll Results: Will this matter?
A nice sized T25/T28 like TSI at a similar pice will matter.
I understand that you want to put out quality products but most people just see price and thats enough to change their minds.
Dezod, as you can see, inexpencive, is a key word.
As someone said, keep your current kit as an alternative(you sweat on it, and it it a shame to scrap it now). Dont stock this kits, but made them to order. This will free up some tied cash.
Have cheap alternative available that can be installed by an amateur easily = savings. As t.engineer said, one with no intercooller.
Food for thought:
HKS manifold - $150 or less at napa
t-25, floating bearring, internal WG - $400
XS bov - $100
2" Dezod downpipe - $150
Air filter - $50
Dezod charge pipes - $200??
Missing link - $70
SF fuel system - $200
Mechanical boost controller - $20

@ 5 psi ~ 130-140 whp of fun - PRICELESS!
Without this set up can push 5 psi on a sunny day
or you can probably get away with pushing 7 psi in Norhtern Canada.
Dezod, hide some profit in this kit (has to be done!)
And it will sell like hotcakes, trust me!

hey dezod. i think if you were to lower the price some it would interest alot more people. like me. im 17 and saving up 3-4 thousand dollars is a rediculous thought. id have to take out a loan to get that kind of money. especially since you have to tune it after you get it and shit. that brings the cost up to like 5 thousand dollars. not too many people are willing to pay that kind of money for a turbo'd civic. i do know that your kit is like the best one on the market for our cars and all that but if you made it possible for people on a smaller budget that arent looking to get 3 and 4 hundred horsepower out of there car im sure you'd have alot more potential buyers. if you had a full turbo kit for cheap that would run like 150 hp i'd be buying one. its alot harder to save up 3500 dollars at one time but if i could get a kit for like 2 grand and just build up the kit that would be the sell point for me. not everyone wants to go turbo for the high horsepower i just love the feeling when the turbo kicks in. and the blow off valve shoots off.

the idea of an big expensive turbo kit that can wreck your engine and needs constant attention is, i think anyways, what turns 80% of people away from boost in the first place. i know NOTHING about turbos or kits at all, but if there was somewhat of a learner kit, which seems to be what everyone is talking about, i think a lot more people would buy this stuff from you.
more people buying = more profit
even if it costs half of what your kit costs now (again, dont know about costs of this stuff) you would get so many more loyal customers, which would get more of your product out there, and have everyone comin back for more once they have more $$$
i just think it would be a smart move to have like a "starter" kit and to keep your "kick all the other cars a$$es" kit to cater to both crowds and broaden your range of customers
dezod, if you make a kit that can put to the wheels 140-150 hp for $ 2,200 or 2,600. I'm the first one to buy it. I think almost everyone here wants a little bit more hp without sacrificing the d17 and our money, maybe a turbo kit that pulls 6-7psi?
yup im saving. tired of being the slowest car on the road. if my car gets fixed, i'll get a kit next summer. all i want is low boost like 4psi max, but i do want it to be reliable also so I would pay a lil extra for better fuel system and some jet coating for the manifold.
