You are not buying a motor from Walmart. Everyone's prices are not the same. If you don't have connections or can't do much work yourself it will cost you over $5000. Check Hasport.com for parts that you need, call places to get quotes on motors then add it up. If you get a shop to do the install expect high labor charges. IBTL
if i were you, i would learn everything about the swap, spend some time researching, and do the work myself. it's not that hard, even if it takes you a few days to figure out, you could save a few grand. and then if something goes wrong, you can fix it yourself, rather than paying more money to the shop to fix it.

if you're paying more than $7500k for everything in and running, you're paying too much. Even $7k is pushing it for a k20a2 ... since the motors alone cost 3500-ish.
I'm getting a swap done in the beginning of december. I'm getting it done for slightly less than $7,000 US. And thats the best quote i got! K20s are hot these days.. a lotta demand for 'em. It takes a little less than 20 hours of labour. 7,000 sounds about rite.
