Re: DIY: K20/K24 into 2001+ Civic **Updated 4/29/2007**

lol, Didnt mean too sound fucked up. I was drunk, and a little down last night... lol. No i havent pm him. I figured id just write my questions here and he would respond, guess not @@ lol Ya X, i meant "even."
Anyways, Is there any diffrence between an air/fuel ratio sensor, and a oxygen sensor? Are they the same thing? Would the 2 oxygen sensors on my d17a2 work for my k20a2 swap?
I went to the salvage yard where i bought my engine, and asked them if i can have the oxygen sensor, and air/fuel ratio sensor from the k20 i purchased. They said, "why cant you use the ones off your d17?" "All of hondas oxygen sensors are the same and universal. I told them the colors are diffrent. They said "it doesnt matter, just find out which is the ground, heater, etc." We argued for a while but I didnt know what else to tell them other then, "because the guy on the internet said so" lol
They told me if i can find out whats the diffrence between them, and why they arent compatble, they would help me out. So im just very confused right now Plz help!

haha.. u guys gotta remember im not on here 24 hours a day 7 days a week...

streethrow - check your iac.. the one under the thorrlte body.. take off the screws and clean inside of it and try it again... is there any CEL

nasty - LDL.. lol.. yes there good friends of mine.. dennis and marisa.. the filipino... what they charge me and what they charge customers are 2 different prices... if you ever go to acme2 then you have met me

as for the o2... i think the junk yard you go to is idiots... not all o2 sensors are the same.. you need the o2 sensor from the rsx cause its a wideband sensor... the sensor for our civics are narrow band.. your jus gona throw a check engine likght.. i think its stupid as they argue with you over a sensor... why cant they jus give it to you?? or sell it to you?? why they giving such a hard time.. obviously they knew the sensors were different cuase they were hesitant to give it to you

grab a couple cans of brake cleaner... start the car after its warm... spray brake cleaner around the manifold where the mani and head meet... around the gasket area... spray under the manifold where the plate with the 4 bolts are... spray around the throttle body area.. what you are looking for is for the motor to bog or drop idle while doing this... if you spray a particular area and itsucks up the brake cleaner... that means u got a vacumm leak in that area
