is it a 7thgen? If so I think there is a DIY on the idle relearn process. Try that before anything else. If you disconnected the battery and didnt do it the car sometimes idles like crapola.
yeah theres a writeup somewhere on how to do it. Its in my helms manual but its at my shop at the moment. That may be your problem. Make the helms manual your next upgrade dude, once you start modding its the best investment you will make. Maybe someone on here has the book in hand and can tell you how to do it.
yeah, one of many at least
my list goes like this
1 turbo timer
2 bigger exhaust
3 electronic boost controller
4 maybe bigger radiator
5 oil cooler
6 now i guess a helms manual

I could be a leak on a Air intake gasket or a TB gasket or a vacuum hose leak.
Any of dose can make your idle work funny.
Take a carburator spray cleaner and while your car is running spary aroud the areas that have gaskets and when the motor start to hesitate that's where it leaks.

That sound like an air leak.

It's got it be.
A bad vacuum hose or a bad gasket.
Look all over the place between the head and the intake manifold in and around.
Check every hose.
Spray that stuff all over close to any gasket assebly and hose while the car is at idle.
As soon as you noticed a change on the idleing, tha's where your leak is.
There is a gasket between the TB ans Intake manifold
Another between the IM and the head.
Check dose.
I don't think is a head gasket cause it's not overheating of overflowing the radiator reservoir.

sorry its a 7th gen, ill check out the diy section for it, but i have disconnected the battery and tried that to see if that would work
*edit* i could not find it in the diy section and i also tried to search for it.
What do you use for MAP sensor hack?
I had same issues before upgrading to missing link. Now my idle smooth as silk and car runs and shifts very nice, smooth as I said
If you already have missing link, then take it off and clean it up with water and soap, let it fully dry out before putting back in the engine, use soap and water to clean the little round filter. Or if filter is lost or worn out you can just use a bite of spounge.
I hope my suggestion helps you fix your idle
well guys thanx for the advice, 03-acura-1.7-el i already have a missing link. im going to take it to the shop tomorrow, i think im a c#$t hair from blowing up my engine now though, i went to go get the carburator spray cleaner like suggested and when i got back to my car and started it up it started smoking LOTS of white smoke out of the exhaust, so i guess im going to have to tow it the shop. any idea what that could be. this weekend sucks, i have had nothing but problems this weekend with my car, starting with my fuel pump spray fuel everywhere and fixed that then had my idle messed up and now this...

Sounds like coolant leaking into combustion chamber and creating steam, so prob blown head gasket. It seems people on this sight like to pretend there is nothing wrong with their HG, even though hey have symptoms of a leaking one, that then becomes even worse of a problem, that could incure permanent damage.
You may want to invest in some arp head studs, so they can install while they have your head off, ask/search about this some more. Speaking of searching, i found that answer for you in less than 2 minutes literally, so, this makes me wonder how you can spen so much loot, with out some research. DO SOME RESEARCH IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY!!!
Also do not want to be a dickhead, trying to help.

[quote=fixeruper]well i discovered oil leaking out where the turbo is so im think its just a seal on the turbo.
haha been there done that, had the turbo rebuilt, and at the same time it was the headgasket. A easy way to tell to if your having coolant in the cylinders, get the car to normal driving conditions, then quickly turn off the car and remove the spark plugs one by one. On mine i could tell right away i had a blown gasket because only, number one cylinder started steaming out from the spark plug hole.
