(Quick Explination on how it works)

Fuel from pump go's to External FPR... FPR go's into the rail, from the other side of the rail *extra fuel* go's back into the back of the FPR and then circulates all over again!......

at BEST it will only regulate the pressure to a LOWER ammount than stock pressure. I see ZERO benifit in this other then the mechanic that SOLD you it made $$ ! Unless they removed the stock pressure regulator in the tank? But then i see the line going in one side then out the other as i recall that regulator the side ports are common and not regulated from one to the other, and if this is the case then ther eis NO regulation in pressure what so ever. All your doing is using a pressure regulator for a place to mount the pressure guage. On that regulator the "Return side of the regualtor" is the Bottom of it.

what is the purpose of the fpr when you cannot raise the fuel pressure cuz the stock in-tank fuel pump has a built in fpr.

Answer the question.

Pictures of the setup does not confirm that it works in the way you intend it to work. Anyone remember the supposed "turbo carbon fiber 7thgen" from a few years ago that didn't actually use the turbo?

If its proven to work, then its a great alternative for people. Until is has been proven, then you will be doubted over and over by all experienced people on this forum...

Perhaps a dyno chart w/ a/f map and psi readings would be proof?

PS. Keep the smartass comments to a minimum please buddylee

yeah so what rule states that because someone has 22+ years of experience in the automotive field that he is required to drive something super fast? you sir are a dickhead. you bring this "new" idea of a fuel system to this board and give no DETAILED explanation of how it works. you took a few shots of the gauge. WOW that helps alot. Then you insult someone that attempted to help you clear up wtf you were saying. Yes you will be doubted until acceptable proof is brought forward. Until then go **** youself in your yard with your "347 strocker".

Ok - this doesn't make sense how this thing is set up.

You have fuel coming into 1 side of the regulator, out the other side, than going into the fuel rail. The other side of the fuel rail goes to the bypass port on the regulator?!

If this is how its set up - that man, this is really a WIERD setup! This isn't how aeromotive intended this regulator to be used:

Quote:
.) I'm trying to plumb my stand-alone EFI regulator properly, where do I put the regulator, before or after the fuel rail(s), and what ports do I use?
Unlike a standard or “dead-head” carb regulator, which controls pressure between itself and the carburetor, the bypass regulator controls pressure between itself and the pump. Therefore, the correct EFI regulator location is after the fuel rail(s) whenever possible, promoting the required fuel pressure, flow volume and velocity through the fuel rail and to the injector inlet, at all times. Most Aeromotive EFI regulators have two inlet ports, one on each side, and one bypass port, on the bottom. Either inlet may be used with a single fuel rail engine, both inlets with a dual fuel rail. Any unused inlet ports must be blocked with the appropriate port plug. The ideal flow-path is: out of the fuel pump, into one end of the rail; out the other end of the rail, into the regulator side port(s); out the regulator bottom port, back to the tank at the top. Dual rail applications should employ a Y-block to split the supply line before entering the rails, then individual lines are run from the opposite end of each rail to each inlet port on the regulator.
Taken from their web site...

I'm not to going to claim that I'm an automotive genious - because I'm not. I haven't repaired cars for 22 years, or had any other domestic crap to work on for my 27 years of life - but I do know a few things. One of them is that this setup is ****** rigged - pure and simple....

Have fun with it until your motor blows. I just hope some of the other sheep on this board don't fall for this retarded set up because there will be a lot of sad "kids" out there blowing their motors.

BTW - how old are you any how? That's not a derogatory remark, just a quesiton. I am just curious to know since you act like you are 16 or something.....

Oh yeah - you shouldn't talk so much trash for someone who had their MECHANIC set this up for them.

ps - this thread is fvckin' hilarious, thanks for not locking it havok, I've needed a good laugh!!

If this is how its set up - that man, this is really a WIERD setup! This isn't how aeromotive intended this regulator to be used:

Do you have a turbo in your car?

( look Havock) yall might go ahead and block this out or whatever.. cuz thats what yall luv doing!. But i am gonna lay the facts strait!>., * I am working on a video with my car right now, *i'am going to be starting in it!* I am going to mention your name + all the other ppls name who think they knw what they are talking about... I am gonna show you how many cars i have and worked on.. In my Yard!..... (I've worked on many cars such as Nova's,5.0's Fox body,GSR engines so on!).... any how!.
I am going to show you what i have exactly, and I am going to drive my car and dog the F***** out of it.... and i am going to show you once and for all..
that it does work!,, and i do not have any codes no nothing.,
(TRUST ME ITS GONNA BE A REAL FUNNY VIDEO)

For all of those new members here or whatever...... dont plan in stickin here too long... cuz trust me.. alot of the guyz who talk here dont really knw what they are talking about... *there scared of trying things, so they build up these toughts and tell yall ( o no it wont work o no it wont work )) haha if they came to Tampa, *there cars would get walked by every one here) any how!.

lol..I aint gonna post the Dyno Charts.. I am gonna take it to the Dyno, record it on video...... *do you think that would help..**? hahahahaha
I am gonna shoot you a nice bird while i am it.. ( i am gonna try to have this done by next week, for those who are dying to c it)
For the rest of yall... come on over to Tamparacing.com

Thats where real mechanics go!!! not just poeple who have messed with 7th gens, and think they are all kewl!>/.........

Havock, what you need is to do is come out with me, and Ill show you around and ill put you down with some fine ladies... ( i luv cars ) but they are not my life!. You think you're all kewl cuz you have posted in here a million times.....

Sorry to say,, but that has probably been cuz you dont get laid, and you stay on this shit all day..
*where you need to be. is where i am about to go right now* and thats the club... hit up them h0's*

anyways.....
you'll be hearing from me soon!... hahah
Till then!.....
and trust me, i am not bullshiting about that video

you say that car is running perfect and you are not throwing codes. Just b/c you are not throwing codes, does not mean you are not detonating. You are not getting enough fuel from that set up b/c like i said 10 times now..........there is a built in fuel pressure regulator on the stock in-tank pump. You can adjust your aftermarket fpr to 75psi and you will still be at stock pressure.

Let's see your car on they dyno and lets have a look at your a/f.

btw............don't insult other members of this board who have contributed countless info to many ppl here. This site is here for ppl to learn and many ppl have done that. No need to turn this place into a trash talking kindergarten class.

btw........i know my way around a motor too .........
