It's from KMS. Even though their intake manifold really sucked, the block guards are pretty good stuff. If I ever build my motor, I'm defintely thinking of getting one of them.
A block guard is supposed to protect against cylinder walk which is common when running high boost in open deck style engines like ours. I don't know about cooling the cylinders, though. That doesn't sound right. There are alot of people where I live that run them. They are running them in older civics and integras so if they blow their motor it's not that big a deal to find a new one.
a block guard will cool down the block a little but not to the point that is needed to increase boost
i dont know what that means, but one thing i know is that a blockguard is not for cooling purposes at allllllllll!!!!! ANOTHER THING IS THAT THEY ARE POINTTTTTLEESSSSSS! dont waste ur money and especially your time
Block guards are the cheapest way out of keeping your cylinder walls in tact. You can block guard it, pin it, or sleeve it. Sleeving it will give you the best results but it is the most expensive.
