First of all…good choice on the HKS I/C, I saw an article where they were doing testing on the WRX STi with different I/C cores, and the HKS came out on top.
Good choice on the BOV and wastegate. Excellent choice on the e-manage, this is probably too early to ask, but will it be controlling the ignition and injector duty cycle?
All these high quality components are pricy, and members on here need to understand that a kit of this quality will be 4 grand minimum.
Also, don’t be disgorged to use I/C pipes from cheaper materials, aluminum is grate, but expensive and a bitch to weld, while if you use Aluminized Steal you can keep cost down, at a cost of 5lb…
Lastly, will you have choices on the turbo charges?
Like different trims, A/R, ball bearing upgrades, water cooled.
What about using a smaller turbo, or will the mani flange wont support it, I would like to use a T25 or T25/T28.
One more thing, the battery relocation will be a nightmare, and make the kit less attractive (to me at least). I have subs amps and caps in the trunk…please use that as a last resort.
The customer MAY have some choice in turbo size. Mostly T3 though. Maybe a T28 here and there.....???
A/R choice for all of the turbos will be there. BB is always an option, add $500. The I/C piping is from Mild Steel, which can be painted or powder coated by the customer. Very easy to work with (cutting & welding), and cheaper than aluminum. The E-Manage will just be offered as the manin unit. Additonal harnesses are not included. So the only functions that MAY be able to be controlled are VTEC & Airflow with the main unit. Ignition & Injector functions require purchase of those harnesses.
The HKS I/C's are VERY efficient and provide excellent quality for a bit cheaper than Spearco. Availibility on them is better too, in comparison to Spearco. The HKS BOV is an excellent BOV, which works great and leaks minimally upto 18 PSI....That is why we chose that.
The Wastegate, TiAL is the way to go. BEST WASTEGATE ON THE MARKET. HANDS down! That is why we chose it. Excellent quality, materials, components and performs the same time and time again.
As it looks right now, the battery will remain in the engine bay.

1) Charge pipe before and after paint
2) Mani painted black w/o WG mounted
3) HKS I/C Mounted prior to bracket for I/C piping
4) HKS I/C Mounted prior to bracket for I/C piping
5) Stright 2.5" Downpipe
6) Flange for 2.5" Downpipe

Wow. Those are *very* hot. I love it. Manifold is just as clean, if not cleaner than, ones that are mass produced. Downpipe looks really nice too.
That intercooler is supposed to handle up to 400hp? Looks kinda dinky, don't it? Like it wasn't fully developed when picked.
Also, I noticed that you've got a Random Tech cat. Is there gonna be a different downpipe or anything for those of us that don't have one?
It's a 2.5" downpipe with a Random Tech Universal Cat welded on. The size of the I/C is actaully quite perfect. HKS states it supports upto 350HP, the Spearco comparable one is only 2 inches higher, and a 1/2 in deeper.

In light of some recent developments, some minor changes are going to be made to the kit. The GReddy Type S BOV will be the only one available. The Boost controller may also be switched to a GReddy one as well.

Rut-roh. That doesn't sound good.
But GReddy still makes some very kickass, trick parts. I can't complain about those.

So is this the downpipe + cat combo that we're gonna get? Or are we gonna be stuck getitng a downpipe and having to get flanges welded and whatnot by a shop?
Also, I dunno if you've addressed it yet, but whatcha gonna do about oil pan fittings? It is gonna be a self-tapping no weld thing or is it gonna hafta be done by someone and get it tig welded?

You will have to tap yourself. We may even offer pre-tapped pans for $XX dollars. The downpipe will come in 2 pieces like our OEM one that will bolt together to make the one nice one like shown. No welding on your part.

HKS BOV's almost got discontinued cause Japan is all about "Stealth". We have a bunch on order but it takes forever to get them in stock. Once they come in the go right back out.
That downpipe puts SF's to shame. I actually think the SF manifold I got is a little cleaner than the prototype in the pics but it still looks great. Keep up the good work
Does the front bumper still need to be cut with the smaller intercooler?
i know the answer is gonna be yes, we do have to cut the bumper, but wouldnt that be awesome if we didnt have to? u wouldnt spy the intercooler unless u stare at it and think a little lol. now thats stealth!

Yes it will.

Started the car with for the first time with all the major components and it sounded very quite, but aggressive. There are still several loose ends that need to be tied up prior to hardcore testing.

I definately can't wait to see this. Hopefully if everything goes well with testing, we might be able to get the kit sooner than spring/summer of 05?
I also have another testing vehicle we have to prepare another kit for once this is entirely done.
I think we're all very anxious to see how well this project of yours turns out. This is definately very good news. I think quite a few of us are standing around, wad of cash, waiting to make your pockets fatter.
