We have been researching more and more parts that are needed for the D17 and as many of you know, there isnt much as far as engine building choices. What we are planning to do is design a custom D17 turbo piston for the people interested in a bottom end build up.
we can do stock bore size with a low compression such as 9:1 to 9.5:1 or if you want something higher, a 10:1 style piston.

If some of you want to take the next step, we can do the sleeving service as well.

Here's how a sleeved block looks like.

As far as Rods, there is 1 company that has the d17 rods available now, but pretty pricey. I was hoping Eagle Rods would have them already, but not yet available. If someone tells you that they are available for the D17, they are BSing

Let us know any comments or thoughts regarding what you Performance minded D17 fans think. As far as many of the manufacturers know, the D17 isnt a popular powerplant to upgrade. But with your help, we can have parts available and designed to what we want.

Our advice is to not jump in and get everypart that comes out on the market for the D17 motor. Do some research and see if it really works. Plan out what you want to do and see if all the parts you are getting are really worth it. We want to make the D17 a good platform that won't break your bank. We'll develop the parts needed that will make your money worth while.

thanks for your support.

At this time, I can see the benefits of a built block is mostly going to be for the Turbo setups. we can sleeve the block and reinforce it to handle lots of boost.

We can do higher compression setups, but it will be limited to the output of a camshaft for this motor.
