i suggest go for it all or just don't do anything until you get a new engine......also, depending on how close you are to getting this new engine, don't buy mods to early cause things can happen, and you don't want to be stuck with a bunch of mods you cant use....don't buy them too far in advance
ya i wasnt planning on doing a swap at all till i went onto the forums last night and looked into it a little more. Im pretty sure im just gonna stick with bolt ons because the swap seems like too much trouble for me, i would love to do it but i dont know yet
im 17 i make about 1500 a month delivering pizzas and the only payments i have to make are for my car and insurance so i have about a grand a month, sometimes more if the tips are good, to screw around with
swap is a good route...just make sure you know what you are getting into. My swap ended up taking 2 months, but thats because i wasnt properly prepared for it. The only bolt ons that you can transfer over is an exhaust, and short shift adapter.
ya im getting my exhaust tomorrow, then rims, and since a short shifter is transferable ill get that too and then the swap. once that is done ill worry about other stuff, but right now i need to worry about getting my money together for everything
do it!! i'm also 17 and i think of the looks i will get with the engine i have under the hood with a civic.....basically, i'm sick of showing up at lots with imports late at night and getting laughed at by cars that aren't that fast.....swap if you can get the money before outta college...
